This game is honestly fine if you've never played a Resident Evil game, but as a sequel to 2 Remake and as a remake of 3, it's so disappointing that it's a chore to replay.

Took me 11 hours to complete.
Wasn't fun, but it was something to keep me busy and it was free.

It took almost 5 hours to complete.
It lacks of something (I dunno if is options, content etcera etcera)
Is a "meh" game.

worth a pirate, but not a buy.
felt like a dlc of RE2remake

>All the Redditors parroting the same bs
If this game got the mercenaries mode instead of that useless multiplayer mode and maybe clocktower before the square boss fight, it would have been one of the best Resident Evil games ever made.
The """B""" team delivered a better game on many fronts
>But it's too action
Not really, is pretty much RE2make with more zombies and a dodge button. Ironically, at harder difficulties, the higher number of enemies with more health and lower ammo make RE3make play like AN ACTUAL survival horror while at Hardcore you can blast through any zombie. The dodge button, that can be mastered to get perfect dodges, makes boss fights much better and more dinamic than RE2make boss fights.
>But it's linear
Not more than most of RE2make
>But Nemesis is scripted/worse/nerfed
Just as Mr.X, It has a genuine stalking gameplay at early game, both the introduction and the Rocket Launcher chase are just as scripted as Mr. X in prison, in the plant lav or at ending during the countdown. What Nemesis offer is much better boss fights
>But cut content
This doesn't stop RE2make from being praised no? The parts that were added are equally as good

worse zombie

>It lacks of something
More Jill

Still better than Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

I've beaten it in 47 minutes by skipping cutscenes on a replay. Thats it, just skipping cutscenes. This was an expansion pack sold for retail price.

Go replay REmake 2 and walking through the dark corridors as a torrential downpour hammers on windows or blows in through smashed ones and 2 is pure money and passion. 3 was "well the last one sold and we have the assetts": the game. its not bad. But 2 was made because a team wanted to. 3 was made because the suits at the top saw a positive profit margin.

>the game is fine if you've never played a game
Fixed.
Relying on "move forward to not die" setpieces for artificial tension is horrible design

Parrot

>Took me 11 hours to complete.
kek

even as someone that feels re2 remake didnt do enough to live up to the original i agree with this take. re3 remake is once again showing how current year capcom doent know how to handle improvement on their sequels and continues to degrade each following iteration. re7 wasnt bad at all so now im seriously worried about re8

Your lack of argument only proves me right.
The entire beginning of the game, the chase sequence with Nemmy once he picks up the R. Launcher. They're completely laughable.
The game cares more about being cinematic over being good

Carlos was THE star of this game.

Cold, cruel, Carlos-less world.

>game is a disappointing sequel
Sounds like they recaptured the spirit of the original. RE3 was always considered mediocre shit until about ten years ago when everyone started circle jerking about the Scripted Monster

>>But cut content
What was cut in RE2? Walking around the street for two minutes? Kendo was the major thing that was cut and he was just moved.

RE3 is missing the park, the clock tower and the treatment plant.
>muh “Nest 2”
Isn’t the Dead Factory. Its a lazy asset flip of RE2makes Nest.

It's the same shit as 2 you fucking niggers

Someone hasn't played 2 since or hasn't played either. 2 is a bigger budget game with more detail, more everything.

Just the fucking sound design alone of the footsteps on creaking floorboards and the like is enough to highlight the difference.

its the most replayable re in years idiot

no it's not.

there's no reason to replay it ever

Nu Laura will never be real and nobody who even remotely looks like Nu Lara will ever love you.

OP posted a picture of RE3R, not RE2

Still a better game.

>Walking around the street for two minutes?
That was like 20 camera angles and it perfectly captured how hopeless being out in the city was
Also
>dumbed down / streamlined puzzles (only 6 in the whole game)
>no zapping system
>slashed enemy variety in half
>gutted out half the items and some of the most iconic weapons
>cut the marshalling yard
>removed need for inventory management
>no fucking music unless you buy dlc, and even then it loops like twice and stops
>no Brad Easter egg
This is just off the top of my head. It was an okay game by today's standards but it was a pitiful remake of classic RE.

Mr. X is scripted retard

Not to me it isn't. Even mods didn't help. Didn't care about REsistance either.

remake 2 was scary. resident evil 3 just wasn't. simple as.

Gameplay is the same. Both cut content out the ass. Both are miserable attempts at remakes.

still making up shit, Mike?

Wasn’t Shadow Tomb Raider’s third 9/11? Lara sure as shit isn’t coming back after that game.

The remake of 2 was my GOTY last year, but I don't think this game is all that bad. I think it kinda does lack a little something to really push it over into great territory, but it's definitely worth a playthrough.

>Spiders/Crows/Giant Moth
>Zapping
>Raccoon Streets
i'm too lazy to look more but if you have to ask it's because you didn't even play the original

>didn't care about the outbreak remake
As if anyone didn't realize you were a pleb yet, you just cemented it for us

>it’s fine if you have never actually played a good game before

Resistance isn't Outbreak, it's a copy of Zombie Master

The game sold well. They have plans for more.
