It just seems like Square do not want to acknowledge it anymore
Why did Final Fantasy XV fail?

It had the worst combat of any AAA game I played this generation, and that is a fucking a accomplishment. It's so bad that it would have been better as a walking simulator with no combat at all.
Because it was a boring piece of shit, and the story and characters were crap.
>Obviously she should have been a party member.
It didin't, asshole.
Actually Final Fantasy XV sold almost 10 milion of copies worldwide.
If you think this is just because you don't like the game, faggot.
The combat system barely works, just barely. Shit game.
It's pretty much a tech demo that's otherwise extremely boring. Good FF games had a story that got you invested into moving forward. XV feels like it's meandering the whole time. Open world is also a meme. Doesn't help that they ruined the combat as well. It's a travesty that the KH2 team was dissolved for this
The first third of the game was good then the story went to shit and the gameplay wasn't good enough to cover it
It sold almost 10 million copies but Square-Enix made a gargantuan effort by creating a movie, a car, an anime, endless cross-promotions, all to salvage the development of a game that took nearly an entire decade, rebooted from scratch about 3-4 times. Barry... just because it sold almost 10 million doesn't mean it was worth it or profitable *enough* for them. Why do you think they went head-on straight into FFXVI with the team of ffxvi as the lead?
Don't forget they cancelled all the DLC and fired Tabata
Final Fantasy XV broke it's cost production already on DayOne, dude...

Maybe you should just enjoy the game.
Realtime combat
magic is shit and friendly fire is on
Story not even contained in the game
Everyone dies at the end, making the whole thing pointless
Shit can sell and at the same time destroy all brand recognition and loyalty. You generally cant return physical copies or digial copies because you dont like the game. Put in more than 2 hours, which is nothing for a ff game, and you are stuck keeping a shitty game.
cause the combat was genuinely some of the worst to come out of a big budget game last gen and the open world was even jankier than your average slavshit. i got the royal edition for like $15 and still felt ripped off, its a bad fucking game and is probably the worst mainline FF ever. they should have completely scrapped it for the umpteenth time and started over again.
This chad here
Absolutely destroyed the game, Squeenix and its fans forever
"This game is an aggressive waste of time"
Actually, Final Fantasy XV is one of my favorite Final Fantasy game.
And I've played them all.
Hard to do that when it's boring as fuck.
whats her name i wanna look up rule34 of her
It does have a wait mode btw. Just sayin.
It suffered from a lack of Cindy gangbang minigames.
Bad for you.
Final Fantasy XV has literally the best ending in the mainline franchise.
And if you never experience it, it's only your fault, not of the game.
The combat is bad and far, far too much of the game's story isn't present in the actual game. They throw you into situations suddenly and expect you to give a shit, but why would I care if Noctis' dad is dead if I never saw the movie? It's poorly thought out, the dialogue is all stilted and weird, the exploration is hampered by the bad driving that just encourages you to use auto-drive and the side quests are almost all just doing the same things over and over again.
The game made money, a lot of it actually, but considering how gargantuan the cost for the whole project must've been, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the profit margin was actually relatively low, which would explain why they ended up cancelling the remaining DLC.
I've played it alongside a best friend, it's contrived and stupid. You have no idea how a story should work.
When you run out of magic spells, did the developers intend for you to go into the menu to generate new spells every time or was there some way that the game could do this automatically?
I never figured it out, so combat for me was basically just opening the main menu every 30 seconds throughout the entire game, lol
This is a Multimedia game.
So, this mean that you need to experienced it as a Multimedia game, and this is your fault.
Second, if you think that you can judge the plot of the game just from the firts two hours, you are in a wrong way, dude...
The most of the big plot begins into the second part of the game, and you have missed it all.
So, I't s your fault all along, in the end.
Try it again, and this time for good
That's a whole lot of cope and extra shit needed, when the game is obviously incomplete. You sound mentally ill. The story isn't even worth experiencing across other mediums. Versus XIII would have blown XV out if the water.
imagine having such a sad life you spend it defending an objectively horrible game.
Magic is not infinite, dumbass.
When you finish it you have to accumulate it from the energy sources in the game world.
Read the tutorial better next time.
- Boring melee combat. Hold attack button until the enemy dies. Then switch to the next enemy and repeat.
- No real dodge button
- Partners AI too stupid to dodge attacks, forcing you to waste a lot of time and items to keep them healthy and alive.
- Crafting magic is boring and slow. Throwing magic at enemies hurts your partners.
- Boring character design. The four main dues all wear black. They look like a boyband. Would have been nice if they had included at least one playable girl in the team.
- Underdeveloped characters and story. You must watch a movie, read novels, and play DLCs to fully understand it.
- Game wanted you to feel bad about Lunafreya dying, but I barely knew her.
- Road trip setting with the car
- Boring main villain
- All sidequests are fetch quests.
- Impossible to fail on boss battles because you can stock up with near unlimited amounts of potions, elixirs and phoenix downs and just slowly wear the boss down.
- No point in doing sidequests. They are just a waste of time.
IDIOTIC VERSUS CHAD SPOTTED
WOW
I'm not so much surprised.....
Sad people
It was a terrible magic system
It was similar to a Zelda magic system.
I like the alchemy :)
Switching from turn-based to whatever shitty pseudo-action-game battle system was a mistake. Game would be much better with either proper ATB turn-based system OR a gambit system like 12. Also rushed second half of the game and shitty DLCs which should have been part of the main game.
