Is Stardew Valley comfy?

If you are liberal and autistic and use reddit, yes

it's a min max efficiency sim nightmare

go back to Zig Forums

It's comfy for a while, but it gets boring. Play it if you enjoy Harvest Moon and/or Rune Factory (better than Harvest Moon but worse than Rune Factory).

That’s like telling a third generation immigrant to go back to chile

go back to chile

Seems interesting. Do I get something out of it or is it just a time waster/chore?

It's pretty comfy building up your farm but the characters are terrible even after you mod them to be less ugly.

It's a video game. What are you expecting from it?

Just because a lot of cancerous liberals play it, doesn't mean it's not a good and comfy game.

It is, unless you are autist like me obsessed with making shitload of money and exploit the valley.

The comfiest.
Don't min/max. I have no clue why anyone would do that to themselves, especially in this kind of game.

It can be comfy if you take your time doing all activities.

Or you can minmax the shit out of it and earn millions before the second year hits

Not OP but how do I shake the minmaxing urge? I've been playing on Switch for about a year but every time I start it up I play for 10 minutes, finish a day, think 'I didn't use my time efficiently' and quit for a month. I'm just now getting to the halfway point of Summer Year 1.
For reference I have a Riverland Farm since I like fishing

>I've been playing on Switch for about a year but every time I start it up I play for 10 minutes, finish a day, think 'I didn't use my time efficiently' and quit for a month.
Now that's just autistic

>For reference I have a Riverland Farm since I like fishing
If you're so dead set on minmaxing you already fucked up

>I've been playing on Switch for about a year but every time I start it up I play for 10 minutes, finish a day, think 'I didn't use my time efficiently' and quit for a month. I'm just now getting to the halfway point of Summer Year 1.
I don't think that can be fixed bro.

yes but it's also kinda tedious with how slow the animations and your character's movement speed are.

He probably can't even locate chile on a map

I can't help it, I'm HF aspie. Really I kinda just need someone who's played it to tell me "dude there's no deadline just play the game", some part of me seems to think there's this Pikmin 1 time limit
I think I did alright last night, I played for an hour and just fished and tended to my crops, it was nice. I actually caught a few super cucumbers on a rainy night at the beach.

>I actually caught a few super cucumbers on a rainy night at the beach.
I bet you did you homo

Dude there's no deadline just play the game.
Seriously. You do not miss out on ANYTHING by kicking back and taking your time. If you just want to fish all day and ignore your farm, you can do that. If you want to let all your crops die because you're sick of watering, do that. If you want to ignore your farm entirely until year 3, do that.

Yeah but I would point in the general area of it I’d probably be pretty close

fpbp

Thank you, this is literally exactly what I needed to read.
I think my biggest issue is me knowing the mine exists but it's such a pain walking over there when I could be catching iridium tier fish by the dozen down at the dock.

>mine exists but it's such a pain walking over there
>not having minecarts ready by end of spring

shiggy diggy

there was a comparison between it and harvest moon, one was extremely boring and repetitive while the other was totally oposite
dont remember which one

As you explore the mines you'll inevitably acquire enough of the materials to unlock the minecarts, making traveling around a breeze.

Yeah, it's extremely comfy. I have a co-op farm with a friend from my hometown, and we play a couple hours a week. His half of the farm is picturesque with a nice broad mix of crops, livestock, and artisan produce, while my half of the farm is a bee house empire devoted to making as much high-value honey in as little space as possible. There are plenty of valid ways to play the game, just set your own goals and enjoy.

Yeah it is, but once you have befriended everyone, you have heard the same dialogue many times, and it gets boring to talk to them. The only exception to this is your wife, who then serves as some kind of gamey bonus.
Is rune factory even about farming? I thought they had greater focus on dungeoneering and dating than actually farming.

Is there a mod to change the flow of time in the game?
I often feel like there isn't enough time to actually DO enough in any given day.
It would be nice if an entire day lasted like an hour or so

Yeah the social aspect is by far Stardew's greatest weakness. I really hope CA revamps it in future updates, especially for the endgame, marriage, and children. I want to see the town evolve.

Yeah there's a mod for that, it's one of the more popular mods because a lot of people feel the same way you do.

Rather than changing the flow of time I prefer slightly faster movement. Slowing time down doesn't make up for how boring it can feel trying to get anywhere.

Is there a specific one you recommend?
