this game got me to dig my oculus out of the closet and find some other stuff for it that I really like. That Doom 3 mod is incredible.

no, at that point I literally would not be able to extend my arms. I would need at least 6 feet by 6 feet, and probably another 2 feet in diameter to give me room to spread my legs for crouching and leaning and shit.

As a VR enthusiast, it was pretty meh.

Half life series have always done a great job at innovating and using new tech at their best potential. Half life alyx doesn't do that, in fact, it sets vr back to 2016 interaction wise. I liked it, but I don't think its goty worthy.

that's debatable, gameplay wise it isn't that fun, has very little enemy variety and it went for accessibility over innovation way too hard.

I mean it's so dumbed down you can be a handicapped wheelchair autist missing an entire arm and you can still play half life alyx, that sounds good right? not when it holds the game back from doing cool shit.
