it was pretty good, but it had some issues too. The clusterfuck of lvl design that is the first level. It being so disjointed and fucked up they needed to literally cut the camera to where you needed to go next. The forced teleported tutorials. Fucking stupid lazy shit.

Anyone who thinks Doom 2016 or Doom Eternal are disappointments or "slow" have never actually played a Doom game before.
You don't "go fast" in doom, you have a sprint button for getting the fuck out of dodge when shit hits the fan, otherwise you're ducking behind corners and around pillars to kill enemies in levels mostly filled with tight corridors.
The ONLY time I have ever used sprint in a fight was in a huge open arena level.

Most OG Doom players hate it because their arthritis in there fingers cant keep up with fast paced games anymore.

For those who haven't actually played Doom Eternal, this is a staged webm of a guy at best killing a few imps, a whiplash and a revenant, all low to mid tier enemies at best.
