Alright Zig Forums, it's been out for 4 days. It's not difficult to get into a multiplayer match, but it's definitely got a weird crowd playing it. The game pushes SJW shit in the story and character you play as, but the gameplay is very similar to the original x-wing/tie fghter games and didn't make anything easier for journalists to wrap their minds around.
What does Zig Forums think of Star Wars Squadrons?

you can barely tell she's black, you can barely tell what any character is. They're all androgynous and you can flip voices and body types around without restriction

I'm having a lot of fun in the fleet battles, but dogfight is a tryhard shit show
Why am I seeing people with the Yellow Stripe Academy Ace skin for TIEs when it's not supposed to be unlocked yet

Actually it doesn't. All the SJW stuff needs to be found in developer tweets or wiki articles to find.
Stuff like the green alien being trans is never brought up in the game, only in tweets

When the art first released I thought it was pretty clearly Luke Skywalker but now Zig Forums tells me it's supposed to be a black girl. I know now it's obviously not Luke, but I'm still not convinced they are black or even a woman

fleet is fun but it's gay that it won't rank you if someone drops the match. dunno shit about the skins, just wondering why i get so many ship component points if theirs really nothing to unlock. I'm lvl 12 now.

as much as I love Ace Combat, Elite Dangerous, and Star Wars in general, there's no way I'm giving EA money in 2020. so fucking dumb that in all the OT movies the Empire looks cleancut and obviously all the upper ups are British men, but shit like this and the BF2 campaign just take a big fat dump on that image.

Using a full squad in multiplayer right now is practically cheating, in dogfights the enemy ships all spawn 1 at a time at opposite ends of the map so every single time they spawn in it’s a 1v5 stomp til they die, then rinse and repeat with the next teammate to spawn in.
In fleets it’s even worse, 2 bombers with the Gatling gun, super laser beam and long range lock on rockets and a support slut to keep em alive just park 1,000 meters from any target and blow it the fuck up instantly while your 2 interceptors run interference/defend the bombers and just fuck around to distract the enemy team.
Wish the ranking system would get it into gear instead of taking so long to get ranked up, I’m interested to see what higher ranked play looks like since right now the act of playing in a squad alone makes you absolutely unbeatable

Honestly people with a gamepad are at a tactical advantage if anything. The HOTAS is just great for the immersion

I fly RC models and a racing drone, so the double stick configuration is actually more similar to me than HOTAS, too bad I can't use my Aurora 9 transmitter for games

No they arent. Gamepad players can't fly worth or tail worth shit.

I loved the game play but refunded it after 4 hours when squadmates in the over the comms do not use my they/them pronouns. Not even a option in the settings. I mean come on it's 2020.

I've never been so angry at a mission before, and I'm playing Pilot mode.

>shoot ships that are near core bombs
>get shot at if you camp the bombs
>move and the ships go past the bombs
repeat

it took me so many fucking tries to complete. The worst part is restarting it, and even boosting max speed towards the bombs, you only have a couple of second to stop and aim at the first bomb next to the ship. Miss it and everything fucks up.

Is it good without vr or a flight stick? I'm kinda interested, is it arcadey or more sim like?
