I feel as though that if CDPR were fucking up Cyberpunk 2077, Mike Pondsmith defiently would've said something ages ago. With CDPR keeping it close with Pondsmith during development, and with him saying nothing but positive things about it, I have faith in CP77 and that it'll blow us away this November.

Alternative theory, Mike Pondsmith is just an old man that is happy that his old project was picked up and has an opportunity to be a big spectacle with high budget production values and he hopes it will inspire more people to create things like he did, so of course he isn't going to say anything negative.
