This game is the best port of a 360 game i've ever seen. Idk why 2 and off the record are laggy tho when this one plays just fine.

Because they run on the Capcom Canuck's proprietary engine instead of MT Frameworks like the original. That is why they both run like shit still and feel so sloppy.

Why is that praised on this board? I don't think it's bad I just think it's very forgettable and lazy, it was pretty much the same as DR2 with some voice lines identical, a tagged on challenge mod, a small new area and some unnecessary twists, really the bare minimum for an expansion.

3 is fun, but the zombies are even less of a threat than in the previous two games.

I've played the games dozens of times since it was released on Steam but so far I still haven't beaten it because I get too autistic about getting Survivors and I got screwed when the fat fuck ran off with half the survivors because I couldn't give him orange juice in time or whatever.

Hearing the survivors/bosses talk about loved ones eaten by zombies (Sophie and Cliff) honestly makes me sad

I just replayed them all, and while 4 was definitely the weakest it still did satisfy my urge for more. The complaints are pretty valid, I don't really care for survivor escorting, the checkpoints are bullshit, and I miss the weapon/vehicle lockers, sourcing it all yourself forever sucks
2 was still the best though

i dont get it. dead rising is like one of the most awfully made zombies games and it has this huge cult following. bad handling, awful looking graphics, tons of forced segments, literally an entire escort mission, terrible ammo and shooting mechanics, terrible combat, terrible art style and direction

its either like a big joke everyones in on except me, or its like sports games where they ARE terrible but appeal to the lowest common denominator, sports fans themselves. i really wish i liked them but i just cant

you need to force your GPU and do a few settings and it runs fine.

I like that the camera was back, other than that I just felt he was out of place, Chuck fit the story well and the surroundings and style felt tailored to him, the alternative narrative with just Chuck replaced with Frank was just stupid and lazy.

It was always pretty obvious to me since its release that OTR was made simply because a bunch of people bitched about playing Chuck instead of Frank again. So they character swapped for OTR and viola everyone says OTR is the best DR next to 1.

aiming is fine on PC, it makes weapons and your movement feel a lot more responsive.
