In the remake they can still go after you if you attempt to walk by them. If walk by them, they turn towards you and will follow you. Becomes a pain in the ass because they will bump into you and will attack if they bump into you. They still go full aggro if you run as usual but it fucking sucks that they can still follow you if you try to sneak by them in the remake.

only the first one in the c4 room is a problem ano (and he can easily be flashed) the rest are easily dodged. the only licker i genuinely hate is the one outside of the ops/record room because you can’t sneak around it while being chased by the tyrant

I could see them doing a Re1 remake like Re2, but at the same time I also have a hard time seeing it. The fixed perspectives, tank controls, atmosphere and music all seems so much a part of what makes Re1 Re1

Started a first play through of RE7 on madhouse a few hours ago. Absolutely every enemy I’ve run into is a nasty surprise that’s fucking me up but it’s way more enjoyable than the normal mode playthrough since it feels a lot less scripted now. The small jumping Molded still suck though

I know it’s been said a thousand times, but Res4, as it is, is to me a perfect game. It’s hard to describe. I guess I’ve just played it so many times that i have a hard time seeing it any other way. The attache case inventory. Weapons and treasures. The cast and VAs. The locales and music. I just worry that if they change it to be more like new horror games it’s going to lose something that made it so great to start with. I know I’m setting myself up for an “ok boomer” rebuttal, it’s just that’s how I see it. Flip side, Rem4ke could set a new standard for horror action all over again, who knows.

Lickers are literally hardcoded to resist gunshots from anything other than the Magnum. The best way to kill them as Leon is unironically the knife
