I never played FF15, what does it have that FF7R doesn't? Aside from cars, open world and a proper ending? From what I'm seeing in that costume, it looks like you can give them alternate costumes. I wouldn't mind that. Yuffie's Advent Children outfit is pretty cute.

I guess that ultimately depends on what the overworld is going to be like in FF7R.
If it's going to be an open expanse of land, like in the original, then I'd like a car (without being restricted to a road), plus the fishing and cooking stuff from FFXV. Plus banter between the characters while on the road.

I know people like Cid, but having recently replayed FF7 he's one of the shittiest characters and has almost as little personality as Vincent. They could gender bend him or cut him entirely and I would give zero fucks. Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith, Red are the real core and Yuffie has enough personality and story that she shouldn't be optional.

You visit rocket town and need a way to cross the ocean. Cloud and friends want to borrow his plane, his wife tells you to go to the rocket to ask him. He tell you to fuck off, then Shinra comes by and basically says "we're taking the plane." Cid starts the plane while Shinra is distracted, flies by, picks you up, and you crash land in the ocean. I think he then literally says like "well I can't go back there for a while, what are you guys up to?" and joins you.
Also I forgot about Cait Sith, the actual worst character.

The only argument to be made is on regards to tactics, but that's about personal taste. Still, Phantom Brave and Vandal Hearts have better combat than Tactics.

except I beat the entire game with that + item use at 0 HP. I couldn't Hold R1 all the time in the demo of 7R to beat it.
