What's my best bet if I want to get a genuine copy?

This. I got lucky in someone in middle school sold it to me for $20 cause he didn't like Pokemon anymore.

Don't

Emulate on PC for free like me.

Facebook marketplace
Look for a lot that has a bunch of games & a ds. Usually that's someone selling their childhood or children's console that they don't want anymore.

Also just try finding a pokewalker and go to gamestops, only real carts connect to them so you should find one easy enough

>Getting both collectors with the Ho-Ho, Lugia and Special Arceus figures on day one.
They even messed up my order so they gave me two sets of figures, i still have them sealed.

>genuine
Well, pretty much you take it in the ass from an eBay scalper if that's your endgame. If you just want to play though, do the smart thing and either emulate it or get a flash card. Or are you after the little pokéwalker thing? They weren't that interesting, just a minor novelty.

Just looking for the game

>could had the special edition with the figure at launch
>say meh because I could get it fro free in my R4
>mfw when I see the 100$ tag in ebay

+1, I saw an offer on fb marketplace cuz the guy just got a baby and was looking for some quick cash for a new baby carriage, among it Soulsilver for like 15 bucks. I asked the guy if he still had the Pokewalker and gave him + 5bucks tip for it. No original cardboard box, but it was in very good condition. Was lucky enough to see the offer within 5 minutes of him posting it, otherwise another nigger would have probably snagged it.

>tfw got it years ago as a birthday present I picked out
>didn't even like it and never finished the game
Pokewalker is cool though. Never even scratched the thing because I always kept it in the little white pocket it came in when walking.

Lurk. Otherwise pirate.

t. someone who bought B2 at $13.

I find a lot of this stuff at charity shops and table sales. Got soul silver at a church table sale for £10. No poke walker but it doesn't impact the game at all.

The genuine copies are also very easy to spot, the cartridge color is actually black, unlike most gray DS cartridges, and when you hold it against a stronger light source (outside light during the day, ceiling light during the night), it's sort of translucent dark red for the IR stuff.

>mfw i have this laying around collecting dust
i should considering selling my old stuff but i don't want to

The Pokewalker was rad as fuck and I'm mad it didn't get used in BW and BW2.

rubber bands on an xbox controller while playing halo so the turret shot forever and vibrated enough for free pokemon walker stuff

I’m still mad I lost my copies of Heart Gold and Omega Ruby when I moved out. I never expected them to become this valuable

ha, I remember doing something like that with a really shitty clear orange madcatz controller

> Omega Ruby
> valuable
Is this a US thing? In Europe they're still selling for ~50 EUR brand new

literally only has value because Nintendo didn't put any of the pokemon games pre 3DS era on their online stores.
as if on purpose.
they even will shut down the 3ds eshop eventually, making the 3DS physical copies worth more.
even the switch eshop will suddenly be deleted one day and people will not care.
yet nintendo will go full lawyer on you for daring download a rom
defend this.

>tfw I bought one of the last available copies on retail

>defend this.
They are the copyright owners so they can do whatever the fuck they want wether you/me like it or not. So either way, pirate.

More importantly; the GB games were released in their online 3DS store, retard.

What's the deal with people saying SS/HG are hard to find? I see copies on EBay all the time for like 20 bucks...

Pokemon games are the most chink bootlegged games on Nintendo platforms. They usually work just fine, but you might just as well download a ROM instead.

Repros are a rip-off. Unless you do it for yourself by yourself

>"What, is it supposed to be rare and expensive or something?
>look it up
>100 burgerbux
What the fuck, why is a game that is almost certainly as overprinted as a pokemon game is likely to be so expensive?

Because it's one of the last good Pokemon games and most people don't want to give it up easily.

Ive got a legit copy w box and manual

Make me an offer

>"go to facebook marketplace" they said
>check FB marketplace
>80-130 dollars for Black 2
Thank goodness for flashcarts and softmods.

I wish I held on to the fucking cases. Had the complete game with pokewalker for years and now it's gone, still have the game though. I'm never getting rid of this.
