>fighting game thread on Zig Forums that isn't capcumguzzling or bait
Dead thread
bros... how do i get good at fightan...
also forgive me i didn't tackle mix ups in it's own vid but it should come in basic 2d fighters video i linked.
Do people really watch all this shit just to be able to play a single game?
>Zig Forums is hardcore and soooo much better than journalists
>f-fighting games suck and its not me being casual
Lmao
Thanks user
>3d fighter
Smash Ultimate, then jump into Melee that actually has netcode that functions properly.
>2d fighter
Still Smash Ultimate, just pick ryu and mess around with actual fightan controlls. It strains the nerves a lot less than grinding any other game. If Smash is unappealing to you I'd say Guilty Gear has the best tutorial. If you simply want to play a 2d fightan, grab street fighter 5. It's very lenient on the controlls and anyone can get into the swing of thing after a couple of hours.
I was talking about fighting games not party games for convicted pedophiles
>Do people really watch all this shit just to be able to play a single game?
people can afford to spare17-35 minutes to learn the basics on how to actually play all
fighting games and about 35minutes-1hour to learn about the one game they want to
specialize in, alot of people just don't which is why alot of people suck at them; but the more
you enjoy fighting games the more you're willing to put in the time to get better.
the basics stick with you and you can always carry it over into a new fighting game thats 2d
literally anyone can get some what decent or very good at a fighting game time is key.
no problem in my opinion the fastest way to get good is in this order
Basic concepts >Footsies >the game you plan to specialize in >and then frames
You persevere. You learn your mistakes. You capitalize on others' mistakes. You do this by adapting. To adapt, you just need experience. Use practice mode, a lot, so that you can get at least your foot in the door. Learn your staple combos, parry combos, mini combos, etc. so that you're prepared for those situations when the opportunity arises.
I believe in you. You can do it. I'll see you on the battlefield.
Holy FUCKING based CHADcolo bro.
>Do people actually have interests other than just what my favorite friend simulator plays a different game every week?
>Do people actually try to improve at something?
Please kys
Thanks doc
What about it?
I remember getting Street Fighter 4 and being so bad that I couldn’t beat the arcade mode on fucking easy difficulty. I kept losing to that guy that looks like Dr Manhattan and sometimes I didn’t even get that far. So yeah I don’t play these games lmao. Kinda cool to see high level matches though.
Alright bros between Tusk and Thunder who should I main?
I think because of 16ers Zig Forums now has this weird thing where anyone trying to improve and get good is called a "sweat", because the only thing you should care about is loving god and your country according to them
This guy really put it into perspective for me.

One of the easiest traps you fall into as a player unfamiliar with fighting games is just jumping into practicing combos before you even understand your moves. You need to know all your moves on an individual level before you do any combo shit. The guy in the video admits that your own gameplay is going to feel like it suffers at first when you go from mashing to committing to learning the functions of your moves. You need to actively tell yourself what you're going to focus on and only do that until it becomes instinctual.
Nothing i just wanted to post Z because it stands for Zanons cute, you're really cute user :)
choose by theme music
>Tusk: youtube.com
>Thunder: youtube.com
623
But they both kick ass
>KI
The other user covered alnost everything but if your friend wants to read something, Infiliment's KI site is a goldmine of KI info: ki.infil.net
PS: Join the tribe. Tell him to play Thunder
>Sajam and Nicky
Based. Instantly had in mind to link to them when I saw KI.
>kamen rider image
How does this series not have a fighting game? Is it japan only or something?
which one do you feel in your loins thats the one that you will always come back to no matter how far you stray.
both
>thunder has big dick damage but has to work a little harder for it imo
>tusk has gigantic dick damage from mid screen
>i really love what they did with thunders design, getting him accurate to the tribe
>tusk is a natty god though
I guess main both is the answer
Just play Smash bro, it's super easy to get into
We're talking about fighting games
Both but start with Thunder first. Faster learning curve compared to Tusk.
Shitposting aside, Smash does make a good entry point for beginners. My first delve into any competitive scene was way back in 2011 with Brawl. Eventually I went thru Injustice,UMVC3 and most recently KI (grinding out KI sets at every Combo Breaker buzzed at 2 or 3 in the morning are some of my favorite tourney memories). I probably would've gotten into fightan games much later if I didn't play Brawl and it did build me a nice base to start with.
thunder is a grappler - dominate close range with big damage
and tusk is mid range/agressive(rush down) can set the pace by having an easier time in neutral.
if you like grapplers you can learn thunder and also take the grappling knowledge to other 2d's
if you like Mid range rush downs then tusk is your guy.
