As someone whose only played the DE...
I still prefer the original licensed track over the new one.

I cant get over how they fucked my boy paulie over in the remake, why did they turn him into a retarded gypsy what the fuck

Literally everyone's face got fucked up.
And don't call it remake, call it what it is - a demake with major story changes, cut content and SJWification.

>SJWification
lolwut?

I bet you he's talking about Sarah

Tommy is a pussywhipped cuck
His wife is a turbo feminist that starts her own feminist movement party and bitches about "WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE YOU IDIOT" - direct quote from the game - among other things such as swearing constantly, talking back and saying she's a strong woman that needs no man.

Damn right I am, her personality is completely changed from original game.

>her personality is completely changed from original game
That apply to every character in Demake Edition

their both fucking awful, no wonder everybody picked (and still picks) gta over this garbage.

>That apply to every character in Demake Edition
Tommy is *mostly* the same as is Paulie, personality wise. Salieri and Frank are also mostly the same in terms of personality, just with much shittier dialogue.
Sam is a completely different character though.
Generally this shitshow is far more offensive to me than Mafia 3 was since at least Mafia 3 was an original story that didn't shit on an existing masterpiece and despite the SJW cancer in it the documentary style cold war government conspiracy story was surprisingly well done. The nigger isn't even the main character, he's just the errand boy for the actual main character.

If it makes you feel better, the new song is only played if you beat the game on Classic Difficulty

Otherwise it's some orchestral piece from the OST

>they don't know Paulie looks like Jimmy Fallon

>His wife is a turbo feminist that starts her own feminist movement party and bitches about "WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE YOU IDIOT"
Huh? She's not even in a movement party, she was mad that Tommy called the senator who fought for giving women the right to vote a corrupt dude who never did anything good

>Tommy is a pussywhipped cuck
May I remind you that Tommy is the one who didn't kill Michelle in the original? He never wanted to kill innocent people and women were still seen as defenceless people at the time.

First of all, Jimmy Fallon looks like the human form of Shrek.
Secondly, the ingame model looks NOTHING like Jimmy Fallon because they completely fucked up his facial capture and he looks more like ogre form of Shrek.

Paulie just looks like his VA
>inb4 so do the rest
No, they don't; for starters, the jawline on Tommy's VA is piss weak compared to the in-game model

>Tommy is a pussywhipped cuck
He's tougher than his original characterization but that in an itself is a mistake, he is supposed to be this ordinary cab guy becoming a gangster, he is literally Tom ANGELo in city of LOST HEAVEN. Yet the remake ignores this detrimental part of his character.

I don't think it's too out of touch for a woman in that culture to have some lip. Reminds me of Joey Diaz's stories about his mother.

His in game model looks far worse, it's like they took his face and scretched it out.
I'm sick of devs taking real life's famous actors faces and just slapping that on a model rather than being creative with the design more.

The demake also fucked up the credits song.
Original is a rap song made by two Italian-Americans (tying into the whole italian-american mafia thing) about gangsters not going to heaven.
The demake song is niggershit about revenge, murder, rape, fucking bitches and killing your friends and family.
Like what the fuck?

Even better, the song is left over from Mafia III; this is the first time the whole song was 'released', albeit a clean edit

>I don't think it's too out of touch for a woman in that culture to have some lip.
You know nothing about history, if a woman spoke up she'd get clobbered in the 1930s and it was not only the socially acceptable thing to do but actually the fucking norm. I don't give a shit whether anyone thinks of that as good or bad since both sides are retarded, the point is they changed the original narrative to push an agenda.

literally Italian women are the most arrogant and loud women, only comparable to Jewish ones

Makes you feel better, you only hear the new rap if you beat the game on Classic Difficulty

Apparently you only unlock it if you if you beat the game on classic difficulty, what's more offensive is the ending monologue being replaced by something so inane and condescending, original monologue had so much heart to it that you felt like Tommy was personally talking to you. They could have so easily just reused that monologue but instead just went with something with far less tension and emotion.
In general everything in the remake suffers from this, all tension from every single scene is removed, Frank being spared being one of the biggest offenders, Frank doesn't thank Tommy nor even give small parting words, Tommy doesn't think at all about Frank. It's just such an empty game.

>Joey Diaz's stories
Believing anything this fat fuck says

>Original is a rap song made by two Italian-Americans (tying into the whole italian-american mafia thing) about gangsters not going to heaven.
The original is a crappy rap cover of a classic rock song written by a band from Arizona.

Don't get me started on the ending scene/monologue. It's COMPLETELY fucked up and has an entirely different meaning/philosophy behind it. Having Tommy slowly bleed out in the arms of his entire family like some cliche Hollywood garbage doesn't help either.

Let's be honest, the rap song ending Mafia 1 was awkward and out of place as it is now, should have just gone with the main theme.

>The original is a crappy rap cover of a classic rock song written by a band from Arizona.
Wouldn't know that it's a cover, don't particularly care, the point is that the theme is different. The lyrics of the original tied heavily into the story, the new one is generic angry bullnigger shit.

Also Frank's advice in the car being replaced with him telling a story about his bitch dog being fucked instead of racing felt disgusting. The entire dog conflict between Salieri and Frank is such a stupid addition.

>a crappy rap cover of a classic rock song
>Only takes two lines of lyrics from said rock song

that's a stretch

>shit demake made by shitty Commiefornia turbo SJWs that made the garbage known as Mafia 3
>surprised that its soulless garbage
lmao

There are plenty of original devs from Mafia 1, just check the credits, it did turn out shit but I wouldn't blame someone for holding little bit of hope, if they cared they'd get Vávra back to direct.

>it did turn out shit
It's most definitely better version of the two at telling a story. First game is better Immersion sim and that's about it.

>plenty
Except the game was made in Commiefornia, by Hangar 13, a Commiefornia studio.
Original was made by Czech people from Illusion Softworks which is now known as Warhorse Studios and made Kingdom Come Deliverance.
Fuck off with your commie propaganda machine.

First game has a far better direction. The cut scene's pacing is better as is the use of soundtrack, the story feels better told and presented, some new additions to the story are nice but most of them don't add anything new or rather just detract from the original story.

The game is about revenge, killing your friends and other such shit as in the lyrics of the new song, it's fine to just hate on principle but you're either doing gymnastics to not notice or you're bored and stirring, since to assume you're stupid would be a reach on this high iq website.

>the story feels better told and presented
Story was the weakest point of the original, even if we look at it in a vacuum it still is the worst part of it. Way story is told is clear it's presented by an amateur and the way it's voice is clear that nobody on the team knew what the fuck they were doing.

There are shit ton of Czech names in the credits of the definitive edition though.
It's still shit though. Hangar is a shitty studio, but it's a fact that veterans have been involved within this game
I was probably wrong when I said "plenty". You're right, my point was that it seems that the vision of Vavra was drastically needed

My personal opinion? The fact that they've tried to give more personality to other characters at the cost of Tommy's character development was a mistake
>Sam is the one who convinced to spare the whore instead of his consciousness
>Tommy's monologue are less common in the DE than in the original (they've cut the most important one which was "in the end, your best friend kills you")
>Norman is the one who tells Tom about Don Peponne and Salieri's past friendship with Morello, which played a crucial part in the reason why Tommy wanted out from the family, along with Frank's advice
>Tommy is unironically the smartest out of all of the three when it comes to business which makes no sense since Paulie and Sam have way more experience
>Making Paulie the dumb one was retarded. Why would Tom listen to the dumb one when it came to the bank heist. It would have made sense for Sam to be the one to recommend the bank heist while Paulie would betray them and tell Salieri about the bank so he can finally get the recognition that he, in his mind, deserves

I understand that they've tried to make the world more alive and make you feel that the world isn't spinning around Tom but I feel that the story suffered somewhat from becoming more objective than in the original.
