Since Sony consoles usually have the games I want, I'll get one when the slim revision is out in 3 years or so.

What games are those? If you mean Japanese games, they all will be on the Switch since the PS5 is absolutely DOA in Japan, if you mean western games, they'll run better on the SeX, and if you somehow mean the couple of franchises they own, they will be on PC. There's no reason to buy a PS5.

Right now Switch releases of PS4 games typically have concessions in the form of lower quality visuals, reduced resolution, poorer textures, pared back shader effects and of course, most crucially, significantly toned down framerate. If the Switch is basically .5 generations behind the PS4, a 2013 console in terms of hardware performance, it's going to be 1.5 generations behind the PS5.

Nah, it's going to do pretty well, like the PS4 before it. Japanese developers often look at the global market too and Sony's stance on region free games means I can do what I did with the PS4, import as much as I'd like.
