Never forget that Sean Murray is a con man and should never be forgiven.

He's just a scapegoat for you dumbfucks. You don't realize that Sony's marketing was the issue

I forgive him. He had to turn a simple exploration game into a full-fledged survival space sim in very little time. The launch was a disaster but now 4 years later it's actually a pretty incredible game.

no it isn't

Is there anything in recent history that Sony hasn't fucked up?

i dunno if i'd call it incredible but it's alright and interesting. The fact there's terrain deformation is cool, other games haven't managed that. Granted i'm still early in the mission chain, gotta make a hyperdrive and my "base" is a 1 square wooden shack

No it is not.
Gameplay loop and core mechanics are still boring as fuck and the planets still look like shit.

What do i do in this game? I already got the antimatter thing from some monolith. How do i get a freighter or something like that?

filtered

You buy it. Board one and talk to the captain.

Oh no user, are you seriously telling me you bought the game because of posts like this one?
You deserve to be scammed.

There are some aspects of the art i do not like its gies from looking kinda cool to childish in some areas and it just ends up looking bad.

i doubt that but fuck it im bored, let me hear your pitch

I recommend playing Space Engine instead of No Man's Sky unless you're one of the people who actually like the base building stuff

>no man's scam filtering anything
Good one, user.

I got the game because i like space games
>you buy it
Where? Do i have to keep exploring until i find one?

Yeah, they really need to do something about it because it gets boring and repetitive real quick, I finished building my base the way I wanted to and there is fuck all to do next.

I like Space Engine and I also like this. They are completely different.

Freighters warp in randomly all the time. They are quite common. Just fly around a planet's orbit (not in pulse drive) and one will likely show up.

No it's not I reinstalled after the latest update and quit after 2 hours because it was the same shit but more retarded because they added stupid base building shit

what do you want from it

To be fun.

I'm having fun

Got it this weekend, have played maybe 3 hours.
Didn't think id be spending most of my time shooting rocks with a fucking laser. Does this get better??

For it not a be a shitty minecraft ripoff

Yes I barely do that any more. You'll get so many credits you can just buy whatever you want.

I'd love to have a thread discussing the game OP but starting one with a sentence like that is like flypaper for shitposters. This is just gonna be a "Sean Murray is literally Hitler" thread now.

base building has been in for a while

Sean or someone from HelloGame should've hired an actual PR guy to handle the interviews, not some bearded nice guy who toils 24/7 in front of a computer.

>gameplay loop

Attracting shitposters is a great way to keep a thread alive.

Thats cool but but I stopped caring enough to want to play it
same with others that try to pull this shit out; I might've had your attention years ago but your game sucked ass but after years just cant be assed to give a shit anymore so I dont care if its good
I already found other games to play

meh its alright and gets incredibly boring once you finish the main story

fuck my grammar but you get what i mean

Its not a 10/10 but it is comfy/10
>boot game up after over a year of not playing, missed a few updates
>start a survival game
>start on flaming hot cheetos world, barely make it out alive
>make a comfy solar powered base on a tropical paradise
>Get to the anomaly and there are a SHITTON of players
>Sign up for some coop missions, people immediately join
>All of them are back for the first time too, some have never even tried mp
>have a pretty good time, get some steam friends
all in all was pretty good, thanks Sean.

They literally couldn't have afforded at the time. It was like 10 guys.

ITT: Retards who are still butthurt it wasn't an MMO even though they were repeatedly told it wasn't an MMO. Many such cases!

It still needs
>better and more spaceships
>space dogfighting at least on freelancer level
>better base building
>improved PVE and PVP
>working economics
>not breaking mods with each update

>get out of ship on new planet
>storm is raging
>WHOOP WHOOP DANGER
>*new planet discovered*
>UI blocked by message
>no idea if I'm about to die or not

Wrong.
