Just read Planetarian. Legit comfy good read. The main girl's dialogue can be repetitive, but considering the ending, it's understandable as to why.

I tried playing Clannad, but the art style is off-putting and the characters almost feel like mongoloids for the sake of being mongoloids and "kawaii desu".

by the way, open to more novel suggestions. I like horror and mystery shit, in case you wanna know my tastes. Maybe perhaps also stuff that heavily indulges into a characters' psychology without treating them as mongoloids and actually have reasons to behave in certain manners.

The original vn is kinda irrelevant now, since Fate evolved into gacha. We probably won't get anything good again.
