Anyone still playing their 360? Pulled mine out for fable 2 and some other games I have installed to it. My controllers are all falling apart and all the third party ones I can find don't have the same quality analog sticks as the originals, so still putting up with drift on my old ones. Any suggestions for a new controller? I got a used halo 4 controller since it was one of the last models coming out ensuring it'd at least be somewhat newer than other skews and while it works better it still has drift.

Gonna hook up my 360 soon, got some good games, some exclusives like ridge racer 6 and persona arena. Also perfect dark and all the halos, plus fables

Had a similair problem couple of years ago. I had a wireless controller and the battery pack was fucked up. Couldn't find shit in my hometown because 360 stopped being relevant.

Skate 1 & 3 are BC with XB1, but the servers are shut off for 1.
2 is the best one IMO, and those servers are dead too. Oh well, still a good reason to keep a 360 hooked up.

These are my controllers, all well taken care of and excessively used and all with noticeable and irritating drift. I thought of investing in soldering tools and new analog modules for each one but read that the modules aren't as good as original either and can also have drift for not having correct dead zones something that's unchangable for using on the console itself

It sucks because the hardware itself still works great, don't understand why microsoft wouldn't still sell controllers for it or at least let xbone ones work like dualshock 4s do on ps3

It's all I play along with a 3DS. I don't play on anything else. Brought it 10 years ago. It's an arcade. Never hooked it up online Stopped working for a year and then started working again somehow. It was weird. Playing through Undead Nightmare right now.

What controller do you use?

I'm using a rock candy. No vibration but I got used to it. Thought for sure it would break on me real quick but it's lasted over a year and feels great.

Playing through Alan Wake atm. Actually just finished the core game, gonna start on the DLC now if I can figure out how to redeem this fucking code in 2020. Kino game.

Anyone tech savvy in here? My disc drive is loud as FUCK on the thing can I replace it or something? Did the 360 always sound like a vacuum cleaner with a bad roller bearing?

You know my brother killed himself on Christmas morning in his room with a brand new xbox 360 still in the box. My dad walled off the room with everything inside and did the same with the windows. Brand new.

Yep, it's sitting right here next to my bed. I played Operation Flashpoint just 2 weeks ago.
I have two controllers. My main one is wired and some months ago I realised that it had slow turn. I opened it up to fix it and since then it randomly turns off sometimes. The other controller has a dodgy right analog button. Or left, I don't remember.
Also the disc tray stopped working a couple of years ago and there's no one in my town fixing consoles. I'll have to get a screwdriver and do it myself sometime, eventhough I don't really need it.

Mine RRoD'd three months ago when I was turning it on to claim my Games with Gold games. Lasted long enough, I suppose.

Is alan wake a good game? I have it on gog for years but never played it lmao. maybe I'll try it now

some 360s are just loud, especially the old ones. I don't think it's the hard drive, it's probably the fan. I have the slim one and sometimes it hums for no reason.

Yeah it was torturing him to have to walk by it every day. It actually ruined our lives. My mom was in a psychiatric hospital for a while and my dad died earlier this year from covid. I’m not doing well myself.

A few years back the disk tray stopped ejecting the disk so I gave it to my little cousin with all the games because my auntie said she would get it fixed for him.

Not a 360 but I still use my PS3 somewhat regularly as a media device and since i still have so many games on it. That being said i have a ps4 and a pc so it's not getting a ton of use all the time, but I did replay Demon's souls over the summer for the platinum

you should install the game. you get less noise and faster loading I think.

I’ll give it a go. Probably less wear on the machine, too. I wanna run the thing as long as possible but it definitely feels like one of the most fragile consoles I own.
