>plastic, plastic, plastic >convoluted, overly complicated last minute design >piece of shit laptop cooler blower fan >tiny vertical slits for air intake >that retarded abomination of a stand >SSD soldered directly to motherboard and completely irreplaceable >heatsink is half as thick as the SeX heatsink, spread out in a retarded random shape >absolutely HUEG motherboard that's going to bend and flex when heated (this is what lead to 360 RROD)
This is seriously making me reconsider my PS5 pre-order.
Possibly. But it's a lot more difficult and beyond your average person.

Using a standard socket. The SSD for the PS5 isn't going through some bespoke interface or anything. It connected through the PCIe bus. They weren't soldering their hard drives to the motherboard in the old consoles. No reason to do it now.
Joshua Jones
what the fuck is this, the xbox storage expansion can just be slotted in
Thomas Peterson
>plastic, plastic, plastic non-issue >convoluted, overly complicated last minute design bullshit >piece of shit laptop cooler blower fan bullshit >tiny vertical slits for air intake bullshit >that retarded abomination of a stand opinion >SSD soldered directly to motherboard and completely irreplaceable there's an expansion bay >heatsink is half as thick as the SeX heatsink, spread out in a retarded random shape non-issue >absolutely HUEG motherboard that's going to bend and flex when heated (this is what lead to 360 RROD) absolutely retarded and wrong Zig Forums now literally REEEing at nothing, misleading and making shit up.
James Campbell
At least, we have subs on the video.
Mason Sanders
The PS5 is as expensive as a good gaming PC. >$80 for a single game >paid online >only like 600gb of space when most games takes up to 120+ these days >$100+ for additional storage >total power consumption will probably be over 300w if not 400 >ps5 is already confirmed to be loud as fuck Meanwhile on PC >free or cheap games >free online >60fps >ultrawide support >mods >keyboard+mouse or controller >Can be upgraded with newer hardware easily >Free switch and ps3 games thanks to emulators and patreon paypigs >can record your gameplay whenever you want without snoy preventing you to avoid muh spoilers on the web
Alexander Carter
they're both kind of shitty both new xbone ones are non-standard by their own design and PS5s is completely soldered but has a standard M.2 slot
Aiden Ortiz
imagine being too stupid to install an m.2
Chase Cooper
Poor Zig Forums. They can't handle that all those PS5 rumors that twitter put out were false and their brains are reeling, grasping at anything.
At least this looks like it's not proprietary. Slap in any rated SSD and it should work. How does this fare compared with the original integrated remains a mystery.
Nolan Gray
whilst i'm not a fan of sony, i have to give them credit for actually putting a more open standard expansion slot. but xbox has a better solution for tech illiterate consumers
Justin Mitchell
it's better than cancer protrusion on sexbox
Brandon Perry
xbox is also proprietary and most definitely will be more expensive than the standard PCI 4 drives that PS5 will support
Kayden Jackson
So you just memory holed that Dusk Golem shilling for months huh?
Luis Davis
Not sure why you're replying to me. That wasn't why RROD was happening. It was a solder issue. I'm not defending xbox, in fact you could say I'm defending Sony by pointing out that's wrong.
Brayden Thomas
It costs less and less parts means less potential failures
Samuel Allen
such as?
Jaxson Diaz
That's literally the cause. It's partially why the Series X has that thick metal base for the motherboard to sit on.
On the 360, the large motherboard would bend and flex and expand when heated. This stressed the solder balls under the GPU, which would crack and fracture. When they cracked apart, this resulted in the RROD.
Ryder Hall
>PS5 will support standard PCIe4 SSD As if. With all the fucking pipeline they kept advertizing, compression and effective bandwitdth, wait until we see it's not gonna boot up if you don't get a Sony certified SSD.
Owen Hill
>Zig Forums is simping for proprietary (read: expensive) formats instead of off-the-shelve components It was the death knell of the vita, it will be the death knell of the shitbox. This also proves that all the 'hype' around this thing on this shithole is fabricated/under MS paycheck.
who? what? you sonyroaches have been running some tranny twitter overheating campaign just days ago, and you want to talk about rumors seeing as how you've got another laptop tier leafblower fan design, I actually feel sorry for you
Liam Kelly
"Sony Certified" will mean reaching 6-7GB/s consistent reads, that's it.
Benjamin Gonzalez

No it has movie games, and tired remakes of ps2 and ps3 games. A game being “exclusive” doesnt make it good, I dont know why snoys keep parroting this.
In reality, not only are 95% of the best games each year multiplatform, most snoys ONLY buy multiplatform games. Everyone I know IRL with a ps4 only have 1 exclusive game and its either uncharted 4 or the uncharted 1-3 release, and thats because it comes for free with the console. The games people want to play and want to buy are multiplatform...
...all of which run better and look better and are cheaper on Xbox.
