How's Tekken 7? Never played it but it looks fun. I need a new game to play because my regular partner refuses to get good at KI

My internet has gotten better lately and I was finally able to play some Under Night with Zig Forums and it was great to fight good players that I can get only 2-3 frames of delay. I'll probably get back into streaming the fights again if it stays this way.

It's fun but the online is godawful and the ranked community is beyond toxic. This isn't your everyday butthurt sperg either, developer incompetence means that the devs haven't patched out an exploit where you can crash the game so your opponent gets stuck syncing in the loading screen, no disconnect penalties means complete anarchy.
If you have a local community who are eager to learn/help others learn, it's fantastic. Otherwise stay the fuck away from ranked.

Best fighting games right now are SCVI, Tekken 7 and KI. SCVI is probably the best of the three if you want a mix of single and multiplayer and a very low skill floor.

KI is hype as shit though. That announcer deserves all the shekels.

They play them for fun. If you have a bro you can play games with for chill fun times, that’s not common anymore so don’t drive him away by being an elitist.

When it comes to normies I've found better success explaining frame data concepts under two categories of moves that are safe, and unsafe. If you start to delve into numbers and specifics you're gonna lose people.

If it's good and I find someone I like I'll buy it so I can play online. But I always pirate games first so that I can make a proper decision without the threat of time (2 hours).
First game I pirated was under night, and I ended up buying it after like 2 days. second game i pirated was GG Xrd, but I didn't like it. I tried a bunch of different characters and completed training mode and just didn't feel it. Too much jumping, too many weird delay-based combos.

I think it's alright but I didn't care to really sink my teeth into it. Occasionally I think about going back to it, and I think about the same thing even more often with Soulcalibur VI, but I never do it because I hate how Bamco does DLC. I'd like to have all of the content in the game, but to go back to either game now would mean buying each Season Pass I missed just to catch up, and I don't want to pay for all of that. I wish there was just some all in one pack.

Playing Tekken 6 recently. Who has a good bell curve? I don’t wanna play Steve or law since they’re so powerful. I was thinking Jin scales well but I’m not sure.

Same man, I've tried to branch out multiple times but I keep getting dragged back into this mess. I wish I could enjoy something else, it seems to get worse with each season. The only reason I stick around is because I'm a legacy player and I feel comfortable here.
Wait until the verdict is in on Season 4/netcode patch, the devs are known liars and have consistently shown that they have no idea what the fuck they're doing. You're in for a lot of frustration

I only play some of the older ones like Bloody Roar and Rival Schools.
