Prediction: PS5 wins sales wise but the gap isn’t nearly the size of last gen, neither sell as much as the PS4 and Xbox slowly gains over the generation as the last 4 years of acquisitions start to pay off and we see a reverse 360-PS3 scenario.

it seems within console enthusiast circles the series x is far more popular because the console enthusiasts know about all the fine details and it's no lie the xbox is the massively superior console in pretty much every single way for the same price as ps5. in the casual market the ps5 will be more popular simply because those people don't care as much about the fine details and they buy what they know. though i feel in the long run xbox will overtake the ps5 simply due to shear amount of games exclusive to the system. elder scrolls 6 for example will inevitably be one of the biggest games of the gen and it's not on ps5. the casual gamer who played skyrim will buy an xbox to play es6. i don't think anything sony will put it will be bigger than es6 personally.
