You listen to cutscenes more than actual gameplay. Part 1 is clearly padded out with unnecessary transition cutscenes and reactionary cutscenes (yes this is on top of the storyline cutscenes). This is an issue as it create cutscene fatigue for some of the important character development moments, as well as detracts the raw emotions of some of the key changes in the later chapters.
The character model and movement is clunky when you try to make a sharp turn which does not fit in an enclosed and narrow space. The whole game setting feels claustrophobic besides 1 or 2 areas of open exploration but even then it never gives off a true exploration feeling. This storyline is linear to the point of suffocation with disregard in adapting the gameplay to the story environment. It's obviously milking the nostalgia money cow and capitalising on the hype of the internet.
The story structure of a classic ff game or any good game usually gets more compelling at least around the 60% mark, however because this is 'part 1' that introduction, conflict, tension build up, and climax does not exist - well a very poor attempt. This results in a stale game that lacks player immersion. The only redeeming factor is the high quality graphics which is expected for any AAA games on the unreal engine 4 by a renown studio.
Not worth the buy if you enjoy a meaningful game. Borrow it off a friend or grab it on a steep discount if you still want to taste the disappointment. Excellent decision by Square to rake in the money by partitioning the original FF7 game, but a very poor outcome for a classic fan or a seasoned gamer.

I was extremely excited to play the final fantasy 7 remake, I played the original back in the day and thought that this would be an epic game. I have now played for about 10 hours, and I have to say I am EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED. The story lie is WAAAAAAAY to focused on environmental ideals that seem to be so rampant in our culture today, but the one of the main BADA$$ characters "Barrett" comes off as nothing more than a whiny a$$ed crybaby little B**ch. He has relatively no strength, and does nothing but complain about literally EVERYTHING that he can. The female characters are annoying and under powered, and most times do nothing more than get in your way during fights.The conversations between cloud and ANY one of the female characters seems to be set to minor drama and a lot of sexual undertones. If the game doesn't pick up soon and become less BS and more enjoyable, I will not only sell this game, but I WILL NEVER buy another final fantasy game again.
Imagine spreading that ass with your hands and then just starting to hammer that starfish until it gives up and you plunge into her depths as she whimpers in discomfort of butt fuck.
