I'll probably get a used copy for WiiU if I want to play 3D World again. They're like $20 and paying $60 for some bonus content doesn't seem worth it to me. Have any of Nintendo's switch ports warranted buying them over the originals considering the price difference?

if they actually abided by the world map themes we would have the same old shit of grass world, desert world, ice world, mountain world and so on that you see in every fucking new super mario bros game, and 3d world is compared enough to those games as it is

3d world was actually slow as fuck, which surprised me since i hadn't played in a while.
will be picking this up due to the speed increase, new content, and online.

I really hope they up the difficulty or well, speed of certain enemies to compensate for faster movement speed.

Its obvious, they wanted to go full "Super Mario World" bonus levels amount, but didn't want to actually put in the work to make new levels to fill it out. So instead, they just do level remixes of the levels already in the game.

3D mario postgames have always been really lazy.
3D world is probably the least lazy they got.

I can play them all anywhere, so that warranted me buying them for the first time on the Switch, I'm always multitasking.

Unlikely. They need a Mario or Zelda game ready for the Switch 2 launch year and it doesn't look like Zelda's gonna be ready by that point. So I think they're gonna make the next 3D Mario for the Switch 2 in ~2023-2024.

I hope Mario doesn't feel like his soul is weighed down by several forces of gravity like he does in the regular version. 3D world is really fun and I am completely fine with them trying out a Mario game like this again now that they returned to real deal 3D Mario with Odyssey but goddamn does Mario feel so off in 3D World.

1.1 at best. it'll probably be just one new world with slightly harder levels and that's the best case scenario. worst case is we get a handful of levels, not even enough to be a world, and they will be barely any harder than, say, the bowser carnival world. still getting the game anyway since co-op is plenty of fun and I got a hacked switch anyway so lmao

I think people confuse blocky level design with "souless". The models of Mario 3D World characters and enemies are well made and quite expressive. One of the characteristics of "souless" things is the inability of these things to transmit emotions, because they are sterile and devoid of personality, and this does not happen in Mario 3D World. Take the small Peach model, for example, it's one of the cutest things I've ever seen in a Super Mario.
