SwSh with Isle of Armor. It's much easier to pick up and just play the thing compared to like Gen IV which is slow as molasses.

Gen 2. FR/LG were alright but they were just a remake, Gen 3 was the end for me.

FRLG is the best

Beyond just playing the main story and collecting what I want I'd say DP. I just don't have it in me to autism grind competitive teams even if they keep making it easier and easier.

B2W2 for the last really good full experience. X&Y because everyone at my college was playing it, but I could tell shit was going downhill fast with the main game content. Every game since has been worse than the last

I enjoyed sword and shield, the whole gyms being a competition and some of the new gimmicks made it enjoyable. Problem is the second the story is over you pretty much hit a brick wall in terms of enjoyment as there's jack shit to do besides battle tower and those annoying high level raids. I really wish we could at the very least get something like the battle frontier back. Pokemon games have always been the weakest in post game.

Just finished my dex in Sword. It was painfully mediocre but the online is fun. I think I want to replay Leaf Green and appreciate a good pokemon game.

I still get sad when I realize Sage will never be finished.
