retsuko is seriously a self-sabotaging person. I get that it's harder to make a new season if things don't go mostly back to normal but retsuko really needs to examine her idea of happiness. She spent all of season 1 and 2 hating the shit out of her job and seeing marriage as a way out but then when pony steve jobs comes in like ayy lmao I want you to pursue your passions, you'll never need to work a day in your life if you're with me she's like "OH FUCK he doesn't want to call serious monogamy marriage and I don't get my special good girl christian long-term monogamy party, ABORT ABORT"
It was also lame that haida never got over retsuko and the narrative seemed cool with him never moving on and simping for her forever.

Season 2's main issue is while what Retsuko wants is a traditional marriage, her reasoning for going for it was poorly written. It's the boss that she mostly hates and treats her poorly that helps her figure herself out.
i would've written it that it should have been Washimi, who's obviously got reserves on marrying but would understand it still, that retsuko should've talked to instead. would've helped with that little subplot with her and gori too
