Sounds inefficient. I started working out last week and have lost 15 pounds so far. Haven't even reduced my diet.

Theoretically it's fine but it also depends on your calorie burn. Most advice I've read says roughly 2lbs a week of weight loss is about as hard as you want to go without checking with your doctor

This. It's totally fine for mothers, of all people, to retain a tiny bit of pudginess. Cuddling and hugging the left would be infinitely more fun than the right.
you will lose a ton of weight if you start controlling what you eat the first month. everyone is different and there's no right answer except keep calorie count low and exercise if losing weight is your main goal.

What is the downside of going harder than this?
Not that user, but I've been working out pretty intensely recently, knowing very little about it. So far I've been losing weight at a much faster rate than that.

I'd buy this but I don't think the leg strap would fit around my giant thigh and I don't want to waste the money.
Safety reasons have to do with a lot of nutritional info I don't really understand, and can allegedly fuck up your metabolism and cause you to lose some muscle along with the fat and water weight.
I think you're also statistically more likely to regain the weight if you go crash-mode. And you're more likely to fall off your good habits if they leave you feeling like lukewarm shit

I've been intermittent fasting for the past year. I eat garbage occasionally, but it doesn't effect me because I'm usually only eating two meals.
Some of the exercises seem laughably easy. Like the overhead arm twist and the hip shake. I cannot for the life of me get the planks to work right. I go slow up and slow down and slow up and fast down and it never works right.
Also fuck the chair pose machine that you use to go up hills and around the map. That killed me.
I dunno about that, I keep myself pretty well hydrated while working out.
I'm just doing normal-ass calorie counting with some success but I've thought about intermittent fasting. Where should I go to learn myself up about it?

This guy has good research on it. Good info on ghrelin which is a signal to your brain that it's the usual time to eat, but has nothing to do with hunger. Knowing how this works makes it way easier to cut out a meal.
