R* does not give a flying fuck about RDR2 in any way, it doesn't make them near as much money since most people hit the story and dropped the game
a lot of GTA players hit online very quickly and played religiously, as the online was actually good for how buggy and fucked it was
RDR2 online has been basically ignored except for passive clothing updates and shitty 'roles', whole thing feels incredibly underwhelming in comparison

I am not downloading 100gb for a glorified tech demo that I will play for 2 hours because its not fun

but you don't even need to buy them. You need to do dumb dailies to get your streak up so you can get as many free gold bars as you can. On PS4, I had my 2.5 booster streak up forever and was rolling in gold bars, and only ever bought the 5 dollar first time pack when it first came out.

I don't like multiplayer.

Logically the next move would be to make some story DLC instead of focusing on an online mode nobody cares about, but Rockstar is so blinded by GTA shark bux money that they'll ignore it I guess.

Me neither which makes it all the more annoying that there seems to be a fuckton of content and side missions and shit.

The only glitches I got is the newspaper being flat while they talk and hold it has if it was being normally held, and one the quest giver duplicated himself.
It's really not that grindy, I like doing bounties and the missions that are very focused on combat since I do like the combat, so I still have fun, I'm not forcing myself to do them to unlock shit.
The gold has an easy way of earning a lot each day, but that can be grindy so I don't take much advantage from that, basically if you login each day and do one daily challenge (they are very simple and you can do one for sure in less than 5m) then the reward is multiplied after each week, so instead of 0.2 of gold per challenge you can get 0.6, considering the amount of challenges you get per day (that you can even get more if you get a role unlocked) you can rack up a lot of gold a day by doing basic stuff, I simply don't feel like login in everyday, I also don't really care much about the gold, I just want to combat and unlock weapons from time to time

You almost never get fucked with by other players in RDO.

I doubt the devs at rockstar want to make a million little clothing items for the next 3 years. Take 2 the publisher knows rockstar games are huge cash cows and try to squeeze as much easy money from them as possible

I much prefer the coop and solo content in RDR2 to GtaV, at least in here it feels endless, GtaV having that list of missions that still were just about going to place X and kill all was limiting compared to RDR2

Which is a shame because they created a ton of cool side characters for the story mode who introduced concepts like time travel, robots, etc. They've got an entire island map they could have done something with, not to mention HALF of RDR 1's map. My only hope is that they re-release a remastered version of RDD 1 using the RDR 2 engine because playing the story mode starting with RDR 2 and ending with RDR 1 would be kino overload.

I just bought the game a couple days ago and have played nothing but online. I've seen 5 other players, and the most I've seen at once is 3. Where are all the people at?

Nobody fucking plays RDR2 for the online user. People beat the story and drop that shit.

People tend to posse up and go to towns like Valentine or Strawberry to fuck around in. Its rare that you'll run into a group of people out in the wild due to the map being so fucking huge.
