I've just bought this one. What am I in for ? I played previous two games and I liked B2 vastly more than B1

Its a really really good game. Have fun.

Not as good as the first two, but not terrible. Decent gameplay but some plot holes. Overall I liked it but is very confusing at first.

Hold and release to chuck into bin

fun world, decently fun gamplay (barring one section where you have to fight the same boss three times in a row), and a nonsense plot that thinks it's really smart. The game has some cool ideas but by the end you'll be sick of how many times it botches the execution.

It has good SFM porn.

You mean press E to chuck into bin.

Good game, but not great like the first two. You will probably still enjoy it though.

Hard puzzles - prepare to look up walkthroughs or be frustrated

Good game, guns are fun to use and feel powerful. Play it on the hardest difficulty available for a more fun challenge

Minerva's Den still is the best entry in the series.

>I liked B2 vastly more than B1
makes sense because B2 Is the better hand.
fans of the first 2 are divided on BI. it is much more linear and "cinematic" than the first 2. the morality choices are pretty much gone; there are a few choices throughout the game but they don't have an effect on the ending.

>decent gameplay
You mean being locked to a 2 gun loadout, less varied plasmids, and on-rails shooting sections?
Infinite was the reason why Bioshock games stopped being made. Superficially pretty, but scratch even a centimeter below the surface and you release just how terrible the game is, compared to its predecessors.

Based. This.

utter dissapointment

Not him, but:
>two gun limit
Bad, but not game breaking. Not directly tied to gameplay, as most of the guns in the game feel great to use and the actual action with them is the best in the series, as gun fights in the first two are very static and bland. Also there are no on rails gun fights, unless you mean the few seconds at a time where you are literally riding a rail, 90% of the time not even needing to use it in the first place.

>less varied plasmids
I’ll give you that. Plasmids are nearly useless and you can EASILY get through the game with never using a single one past the few shock jockey instances. The only really helpful ones are Possess and Murder of Crows and the occasional water tentacle throw when on small floating platforms. Bucking Bronco and Back to Sender are pretty damn fun to use though.

> Infinite was the reason why Bioshock games stopped being made.
You have no proof of this, nor any real reason to believe it to begin with.

If you're anything like me you're gonna run through it in a few sittings, think "that was pretty good", then think on it some more over a week and tug on some of those loose threads in your mind and go "wait that was actually hot garbage what the fuck were they even thinking when they made that shit"

I'm disappointed that no one has posted this yet.

the only bioshock that isn't bogged down by it's choreish gameplay

Don't play that dogshit, play the true successor to System Shock instead.

it's funny, in the 7 years (jesus christ) since Infinite came out, I've never felt more patronized playing a game than during that opening '''''puzzle'''''

Attached: wait a minute, that card.webm (640x352, 1.67M)

Still not as patronizing as bioshock 1's "choice" of murdering or not murdering children

I don't think you know what patronizing means.

It's fun, but nothing ground breaking. The levels are a lot more linear.

that was stupid, not patronizing

The gameplay is alright, kinda fun but repetitive. The story is the biggest missed opportunity here. Tl;dr everyuone thinks the story is deep and complex but in reality it isn't, it's just so poorly told that 50% of the backstory/plot is told through voxophones and once you listen to them the story isn't that deep.

And I hate how the latter half of the game shits on the rest of the game once rifts are introduced, it legitimately felt like the laziest plot device they could've gone with. But all in all it's a "fine" game.

>everyuone
No one does other than the devs of the game. It was interesting, but it misunderstands the concepts its covering too much to be deep.

>What am I in for ?
A downgrade from 1 and 2 in every single way but graphics.

Bioshock 1 and 2 are kinos that are meant to be savored and analyzed.

Infinite is more like a Marvel flick. It’s not amazing or thought provoking like 1 and 2, but it’s still fun and enjoyable, just not something you’d go into looking for much. Its satisfying, but nothing more.
