yea i only saw them for the first time yesterday
I love the Volcana music, I actually really like Volcana in general, it's a fun platform focused level. It's a little annoying maybe how easily you can get fucked by insta-death but I still really like the level.
Sometimes you just get lucky
When will they fix Volcana's Drill? I'm tired of it literally being impossible to reach Vlad due to lava.
Reliable gambling method
just go around the lava and come out under it. Usually the drips are completely avoidable if you're on the chain directly in the middle
Does anyone know if the camera works on tusk bodyguards?
I fucking hate, I fucking LOATHE the climbing gloves. When I accidentally pick up that shit I seriously consider just ending my run.
USING THE FREEZE RAY ON LAVA ACTUALLY WORKS
Holy shit. And not only that but it also creates little rocks. This game is full of so much cool shit.
doesn't look too reliable. You almost lost one of your dice when it got hit by the other
I think the niggers that designed the Temple area and Dwelling should be publicly executed for incompetence and not playtesting their game.
Sounds like you've been grinding against moles and lizards for 19 hours, then, huh? Get fucking good, bro.
I've been using this method a ton and a dice has never gone out the door, I think it even can.
They're genuinely awful and a complete downgrade from HD, and they weren't even that great in HD.
For some reason now there's like a delay with grabbing onto the wall and being able to jump off too which is retarded
Okay tested it, it does work.
Tunak mains where we at
if you've got dripping lava one of the tricks is to drop from the chain right after the last drip, then grab the chain before hitting the bottom and book it before the next drip
LOOK AT THIS SHIT!!!! 06:40 WHAT THE FUCKKKKK (SERIOUS spoilers, click only for the brave or those who know.)
youtu.be
Me too, I especially love Volcana dark levels and music.
It's never literally impossible. Just wait a minute and let the lava settle then be quick on the drop down.
Should I play Spelunky before I play Spelunky 2?
>It's never literally impossible
Wrong, had the entire bottom area flooded with lava before.
Is there a reliable way to beat off Vlad? Seems like no matter what I try this guy just teleports on my ass. I've heard that he only does it if you're too far away from him but it seems like he does it regardless of distance.
Right here, brother.
Freeze Ray
I love them, saves so much on ropes
It doesn't matter. Only thing you'd get from Spelunky HD is a good grasp on the mechanics.
the lava is annoying but you can easily wait 30-60s for it to fully drip down. you have 5 minutes on that level after you grab the clover, just don't rush. having a shop or an altar in the way is way worse
I fucking did it today, bros. I actually did it.
crossbow
Steel arrows will instakill him.
What? They're a straight upgrade from HD. In HD they grab the wall 100% of the time whether you want to or not. In this game you actually control when the proc.
I don't think he can telefrag you if you're hitting him close-quarters. Also any blue arrow one shots him (doesn't have to be Horsing's) and so does camera.
yeah but it's impossible to fucking control that because you're constantly using your directional controls for different things. At least in HD you 100% were sure what was going to happen with the gloves. In 2, although yes they do work the same way every time, the endlessly varying situations you find yourself in make it near impossible to keep track of when and when not to be sure you are engaging the climbing gloves or not
I would like the climbing gloves if holding X triggered them. So if I wanna stick to a wall I hold X while facing it, simple as that.
Both of you can compromise and just admit they're still the worst item in the game.
>finally beating the caves
>instantly dying in jungle
lol its hard
OP here. Got a shotgun in a vase just now for the first time. Has the game been patched or what?
Couldn't go around it. The entire hole was covered, and the floor below the drill was drenched in lava.
Drenched the bottom, if I dropped I would've died.
>It's never literally impossible.
It is? I would've had to bomb all the way around and I had no bombs.
Not sure if I could've made it, the lava dripped pretty wide around the drill after I activated it.
jungle can get a little fucky, consider Volcana if you're struggling there
the new music for the first level is kinda bad, i liked the HD one more
that would be the compass
Gratz on that.
I love this dumb stupid robot
didnt know what the fuck i was doing considering i never got to the jungle to begin with in the first game lmao
Eh, they definitely require practice but I find them significantly more reliable.
I love my wife Lise Project!
>that would be the compass
I read her coffin is in 2-1 Volcana? I have never seen it, does it just randomly spawn?
bruh, what if you dupe the eggplant and sacrifice it again?
oh you meant there was so much lava you couldn't even jump to the side at the bottom of the map? only happened to me once but you got to go trough a lot of lava pools for that to happen, unlucky
I just realized I have literally never seen the dupe gun other than one time. What the fuck?
It's literally never literally impossible. Just be patient and wait for the lava to drain or bomb the way yourself if you have 12 to spare. It doesn't really matter if you wait the full 3 minutes thanks to the shamrock.
I agree it's dumb because waiting is never a good gameplay mechanic but it's very much consistently do-able. If nothing else you can explore the rest of the level while waiting and then come back to it.
There's a guaranteed coffing on the first lava level, you can get one of the characters you're still missing from that table randomly until you have them all (then you get the generic merc)
i imagine nothing since the door would already be open but worth trying. could also dupe egg child and see if bringing it into egg world does anything
sometimes the game just fucks you
>shotgun in a vase
what? can that happen?
I wasn't struggling to slip through a small area of lava. The bottom area of the drill was drenched in lava. The road to Vlad's place was literally impassable due to lava.
It's the star challenge reward. Use it on the big fish if you have balls.
The Temple is like the 2nd easiest stage in the game. It's mostly empty, way easier than in HD. You only have to play it to 1-2 as well.
Best method is to do
Throw a couple bombs from the chain to open up the space and let you through.
You get it from the Star Challenge in world 4, as long as you aren't cursed. If you are then you get the Elixir instead.
could try bombing so the lava pools lower but yeah that's rough
Nice
Did you even read it? There was no chain, it was at the bottom of the level, with unbreakable blocks. There was lava, all over the drill, all over the base of the level, all next to Vlad's lair.
>The Temple is like the 2nd easiest stage in the game.
Never use a term like proc on my board again.
Next you'll be calling your character your toon.
