>my new 2ds XL arrived >but no HAVE U HACKED UR 3DS YET threads
alright, I'll make one is it safe to hack with the stock 4GB SD card or should I get a bigger one? I'm not going to fill this thing to the brim mind you, only a couple of games at the time
well if it wasnt so gosh darn complicated to hack this thing

You're a fucking retard if you don't have a 128GB SD card ready
James Gonzalez
You could start out with the 4GB and see how it goes. Lots of the worthwhile 3DS games are less than 500MB, so you can have at least a few on hand at a time
Henry Harris
You can do it with the stock 4gb SD just fine, but try to get your hands on a 64 or 128 sd There are certain games that are really heavy, like Pokemon USUM, Fire Emblem Fates, and so on, thankfully, Mario 3D Land isn't one of them, and it's a really nice game, too bad you don't have the 3D, it's really good in that game.
Ryan Evans
You can't install games that are 2GB on a 4GB card
I imagine you can just swap the sd cards after the initial hack without redoing the whole process
Brayden Edwards
The hack files will take up a bit of space, and some 3DS games will take up the remaining space on their own. Bravely Default, for example, is 3.2GB, and if you're installing via CIA, you'll need to have twice that space available at any time to both store the CIA and install it.
Tyler Collins
You can. Swapping SD cards these days is just a matter of copying files over. Back in the emuNAND days, it was a bit trickier.
Justin Price
Cant you install and delete CIAs though?
Ryder Myers
Yes, but the CIA stays until install finishes. It just automates the deletion step you'd be taking otherwise.
Joseph Myers
Yes. The cia is the install package and can be deleted after installtion. Doesn't change the fact that you need twice the amount of free space because until you delete it both the cia and and installed game are stored on the sd card. Maybe remote installation can get around this but no matter how you look at it 4GB is not enough and sd cards are dirt cheap. Get a bigger one.

Hello hack3rmen
Please post rom and cia websites. Thank you for helping me; a fellow hacker

No problem, Mr. Nintendo Lawyer.

Question, I already have a hacked 3DS XL SD card. If I bought a N3DS would transferring the hack be as simple as putting the already hacked SD card into the N3DS?
i'm pretty sure your hacked sd card uses info for that specific 3ds.

No you have to hack it from scratch. It only takes 30 minutes the second time because you know what you're doing
Carter Hall
Not if you use remote install.

Does anyone here have a 2DSXL/3DSXL and also a DSiXL? There's a handful of cheap second hand DSiXLs near me, and an R4 is like 10 bucks, and while I'm enjoying the larger screen (I had a DS lite before with a flashcard) I'd consider a DSiXL too for DS games, but then neither system does gba games ideally. The 3DS stretches it, or if you do 1:1 the image is small, and the DSi hasn't got the ability to run gba games natively and I've read emulation is dodgy on it. I still have my DS lite with a flashcard but I do like the larger screen. Any advice? I just wanna play GBA games on a nice big screen but with no interpolation shenanigans that make the screen blurry af.
What this user said And also, if you're using a full size SD card in the 3DS XL, you'll need to transfer that info to a microSD card. New 3DS doesn't support full size SD.
If you're using a microSD inside a full size adapter, ignore everything I just said.
I want to get a back up 3ds/2dsxl but their price was never decreased in Europe and I’m not paying €220 for one. Can’t believe Americans got them for $99
Blake Garcia
Oh my lord just buy a 16 GB one from walmart or target they're like $15 max

even now murrica anons will tell you 'just get refurbished' when it's not a thing here in 2nd world
