There productive ways than working on a YouTube channel.
I thought about it, and have written a few bits and pieces, but it's too much drama to be a YouTubefag. Don't want the attention of hundreds of people, let alone thousands or more.
How are you productively applying your vast experience with vidya, user?
As if you'll actually get hundreds of views. Putting a ton of effort into a project and having a handful of people comment on it is peak comfy.

Do these fucks not realize most people have lives?
I don't know video editing, I'm not entertaining, and I don't think I have anything to say about a particular game that hasn't already been said.
Longforms are fun, man. Yeah, you're not gonna get remotely close to the views of a shorter video, but its still a blast. I wish I had the time to make more, but all I can manage nowadays are shorter videos.
I like to fall asleep to these in-depth analysis videos sometimes. It's a distraction that helps me stop thinking about things that keep me awake, and the videos are long enough that I can fall asleep before having to find another video.
Yeah I finally hit 100K subs last month
Video editing is something you pick up on pretty quickly from a technical standpoint (that is, how to actually use your program). How you actually edit is mostly up to you and what you like to see, but the basics are neat to learn, too. Stuff like being cognizant of where the viewer is looking when you make cuts.
Being entertaining is largely optional.
You might think you have nothing to add, but some games don't really need anything added to their discussion, its just a great way to show off a game you like.
If you want to, you should try it out. It's a lot of fun getting your thoughts on a game ordered and coherent, not to mention the fun that comes from blitzing through an editing workflow.
Got my fucking channel demonetized for "Re-used Content" even though everything I make is highly edited so it wouldn't be just me talking over gameplay or source material from somewhere else. Goddamn fucking idiots.

>That uploader that likes every positive comment on their channel
hey hey people
have you heard of company of heroes 2?
you will soon
Bro the EXACT same thing happened to me.
"Oh don't worry, if this was erroneous, you can just reapply for monetization and we'll give you another review"
But they changed their monetization requirements after your channel was already approved. I swear this is just a plot to kick people out that were grandfathered into the new system.
>be paranoid about social media
>deleted all my comments from facebook
>try and do the same for jewtube
>no delete all button
>unless you delete your channel :^)
Had a couple of old gmod videos with 50k views or more, but they were relics anyway.
Probably happen sometimes because they want to skip on having to pay some of the lesser known creators. I just like how my demonetization came packed together with a community strike over "hate speech" because I mentioned some joke about trannies in one of my videos and that shit got it mass flagged by some retards until they system decided to remove it.
I recently made my 100th review so I'm feeling pretty good. I don't like my voice for the first 50 or so videos, but I think I'm getting better at it. With any luck, I'll hit 1,000 subs in a couple of years, or at least before I make my 200th review.
Good job dude. It's always nice to get praise from randoms. I could never make a video that long; I'd rather make several shorter ones. The longest I made was just under 30min and that felt like it took forever, so I can't imagine the patience you had to go through to edit that.
Post channel and I'll keep an eye out for it, man.
my video about tlou2 was taken down during the whole abby fiasco. Its up again and they dont care about it anymore
>You ARE working on your YouTube channel, right?
yeah, but I'm not a reviewer.
What are you up to then, user?
If you're looking for a subject to talk about, there's always hundreds of games out there that no one's ever heard of. Pick something at random, give it a shot, and talk about what you liked and what you didn't like about it. Talk about what made it unique and interesting, or what could have made it unique and interesting. It's as simple as that, although writing the script is never easy. As for editing, everyone will suck ass their first time through, but you'll get better with practice. It all depends on how much you want it. Just make something and see how it goes.
I generally like everything so they know I read it. When you're a small channel, people don't really bother to shit talk you. If they don't like your video, they either comment some real criticism, or just dislike and leave.
obviously vtubing like this faggot
youtu.be
That's odd. How do you have triple the required subs, but less than half the needed watch hours? Do you make extremely short videos inconsistently, or do most of your subs just not watch?
It's going okay, I'm not a reviewer though, I just play games
>that voice
please kill me.
My editing workflow is really tight. Writing is the hardest part for my ADHD ass, but I can get a ton of good editing work done any day. I break my script into pieces based on what video I think I'll need to match up with that part of the script, then I put it all into a big spreadsheet and use that to keep track of footage, subclips, and project files. It lets you plan out the edit way before you actually start dragging shit onto the timeline, which is a godsend.
My spreadsheet for that hour long video looks like this: docs.google.com
and one for a 15 minute video looks like this: docs.google.com
I would highly recommend it, even for tiny projects, since it brings so much structure and peace of mind to the herculean task of editing.
going pretty good but its a pain in the ass to edit gameplay so its safe for youtube I can see why no one else reviews hentai games
Lol dude you've got it made.
Mostly saving material, put it would be nice if I could put it into a video.
