Hard Mode: As BOTW released simultaneously on both, it doesn't count either.
Removing ports/remakes from their lineups, which is better?
The Wii U will always be Nintendo's worst console.
switch bandwagonners like you are fucking braindead. the switch is nintendos worst console but you just havent realized it yet
The Switch is unironically the best video game console ever made. You can have a home console experience in your pocket, what’s not to like?
No, you're just retarded
ps4 won cry harder
The Wii U obviously.
The Wii U was so good that it now feeds an entirely new system. The Switch is 90% Wii U ports.
On top of that, it was 100% backwards compatible with all Wii games; physical or digital.
When you consider that it basically combined the Wii Virtual Console with its new Virtual Console, it had the greatest library of games ever on a single system.
It had great exclusives (arguably much better ones than the other systems at the time), and the tablet controller was actually pretty sick whenever someone bothered to develop for it.
It will go down as the most misunderstood system of all time. RIP Wii U, thanks for the memories. Fuck the Nintendo Switch, it's just a Gameboy that plays Wii U games.
>What is Virtual Boy
BOTW is a better experience on WiiU so of course it's superior
This is the correct post. There has been a nosedive in quality and effort put into first party nintendo games and services ever since the switch came out. The only first party game on the switch I consider worthy is smash ultimate because of how ambitious it is.
Kart was ported from wiiu with no new content.
BOTW was developed on wiiu so it only counts as a wiiu game to me not that it was any good anyways.
Mario odyssey isnt even half as good as the galaxies or 3d world lands was.
Dk was ported over.
Super mario party was fucking cazualised dumbed down shit.
Some of the worst pokemon games.
I could go on. The switch is garbage compared to the wiiu and only faggot autistics who play videogames in public and want to jerk off about how its portable disagree
Also when you look at the lack of virtual console, low effort in 3d allstars, laggy online because of p2p infastructure, no web browser or netflix or BASIC SHIT youd expect on any console in 2020 its insane people still support nintendo
and they literally tried to sell cardboard - fucking cardboard
>The Switch feeds off the past thus it's weak
>Proceeds to champion the Wii U's VC and retrocompatibility
Lol come on man
Good argument, but there are two problems:
> Switch charges you full price for the regurgitated games
> Wii U had more first-party titles, so even without regurgitating old titles you had a good library
Considering the Switch just sold you Mario 3D Allstars for $60 when Mario 64, Galaxy and Galaxy 2 were all available on Wii U, you can see which one's the better deal.
Face it, Iwata may have had a different perception of 'fun' than you do, but this dude ensured Nintendo's integrity.
Modern Nintendo management is like modern Disney management: Cash in on old stuff, no regard for consumers, and join bad game trends like DLC, Season Passes and Online Subscriptions.
Thread's all about that second point and honestly it's pretty even from where I stand.
DK Tropical Freeze, The Wonderful 101 and Color Splash are some of my all time favorites (no trolling with that last one either) but then the Switch has given me FE3H, Smash Ultimate, LM3, Ring Fit Adventure (150 hours in from that last one alone and going), Mario & Rabbids...So much good I really can't say one is notoriously over the other.
>snoynuts
>BOTW is a better experience on WiiU
?????????????
>Kart was ported from wiiu with no new content.
Why lie? All DLC, entire new battle mode with new arenas, new characters, better performance
Its like you want to get laughed at.
Odyssey is better than anything on the wii u
Wii U was better.
>Original MK8 and Mario Maker
>Original Splatoon
>Only Pokemon game it could play was Pokken, still light years ahead of SwSh
>Free online
>Smash 4, which has no Joker, Young Link or Pichu mains to deal with
>Basedboys left the player base years ago
I mean cmon
Wii U was a console nobody wanted.
Switch is a console that everyone wants.
Ignorant as hell
wii u easily
/thread
Both are really solid imo, if we don’t let Switch have the Wii U ports.
Switch:
>Splatoon 2
>Xenoblade 2
>Octopath
>Astral Chain
Wii U:
>Splatoon 1
>W101
>Fatal Frame 5
>Super Mario Maker
>Bayo 2
>Xenoblade X
>Nintendoland legitimately fun with thr family
I’ve never been upset about my Wii U purchase. Honestly it was done dirty imo, had a solid lineup for a niche console. I’m the kinda guy who really loves my Sega CD though.
I hope they port Fatal Frame eventually, it won’t be quite right without the gamepad though.
The thread could have ended here
Wiiu has ba0yo 2 so until bayo 3 comes out Wiiu Is the winner.
I assume because of map and inventory management, gamepad was godlike for that
I dunno though I’m not him and played it on Switch
PAHAHAHAHHAHA
>The Wii U obviously.
No the complete opposite.
The Wii U - while being a fun and unique system - is utterly inferior in every single way.
From the clumsy messy bulky design and sensor bar cables to the excruciating slow as fucking donkey shit UI, its utter shit compared to the Switch's sleek design and super fast snappy UI. And the functionality makes the Wii U look like a rough prototype.
Even the chipset architecture of Switch is far more palatable to 3rd party devs which is why Switch is drowning in ports compared to Wii U.
Everything that was good about Wii U is on Switch.
BOTW is a wii u game
BotW doesn't use the gamepad. He's just one of those shitters that saw a digital foundry video showing worse performance in a single 5x5 meter area at the beginning of the game on switch and he thinks he played a superior version by pirating it on Wii U. I played both and I could feel the Wii U trying to commit suicide 40% of the time.
>BotW doesn't use the gamepad
Nani the fuck why
Trying to recreate the dual screen experience of the DS on a home console was always a stupid idea and some games were crippled by trying to accommodate for this (Star Fox Zero). The Wii U hardware was objectively shit compared to the competition but it got good games that now have a second chance at life on Switch. Switch isn't perfect but at least being a portable gives it a reasonable excuse for being underpowered.
Had to retool it to have function parity with the Switch
The Wii U got screwed over so hard regarding the Zelda franchise it is hilarious
Either because they didn't want to make Wii U specific features for a cross-gen game or because Aonuma was unhappy with people having to mess with the gamepad during gameplay
