I'm saying it has very few good games. Monster Hunter was fun. Kid Icarus Uprising was good. But I didn't enjoy the 3DS for the most part.

I don't have such a pessimistic view toward the future of consoles, but purely in terms of hardware, the 3DS is MAGNITUDES better than the Switch.

The only new feature the Switch adds is taking screenshots system-wide and recording video, though even then accessing your images is clunky and requires you to upload them to some social media.

I didn't like X&Y, and Sun and Moon were the games that killed my interest in Pokemon as a franchise.
Even THEN, they're FAR superior to Sword and Shield. Even being as fair as possible, you could argue Sword and Shield is equal in quality to USUM (aside from missing Pokemon), which is pretty fucking bad for a Switch game.

The best UI Nintendo has ever made, the Switches UI is a fucking trainwreck in comparison.
The 3D gimmick was functional. That's about the best you could hope for, really.
Had some pretty great ports for a portable console. Which is particularly notable since it's far more portable than the Switch.
Its library may have had its fair share of stinkers, but it had quite a few excellent exclusives, certainly enough to make the system worth owning, namely the best Monster Hunter and Animal Crossing games in their respective series, among others.
Its joystick didn't malfunction, yet another thing to put on the mountainous "things the 3DS did better than the Switch" list.
