Why are there no video games featuring a cute mermaid girl in a significant role?

I guess Rune Factory 3 has a fish you can marry. I would love a game where it took the concept to its fullest potential though. Like making things for your mermaid, a wheel chair or a tub on wheels so she can go with you places, keeping her safe on land, that kind of thing
