It got fixed

>vanilla KH3 after olympus
4/10
>KH 3 Remind
8/10
the update didnt add much to the base game, and remind was a bandaid to the core problems

Based

>Laruen now thinks Ventus murdered his sister
>Laruen's so fucking mad he nearly beats Ven to death and Epmihemer has to stop him

Why the fuck isn't this main game?

>the update didnt add much to the base game,
It gave Sora new abilities and his combos got sped up. It was a godsend because it played more like KH 2 FM

This how it’s been for every kingdom hearts game.

>Every time Luxu speaks about the master he looks up into the sky
>The mysterious man in the epilogue scene of vanilla kingdom hearts 3 looks into the sky of Shibuya and makes a heart symbol with his hands

Because Nomura seems to love making terrible decisions now

The secret boss fight is in my top 10 boss fights of all times so yeah. Also bump the vanilla version down to 6. It was ok for what it was

Yes, the combat got slightly better.
however, form changes are still busted and repetitive, magic isnt unique, as most spells become obsolete, shotlock is just free damage for doing nothing, with many shotlocks doing the same exact thing, links are just free I frames, Level 1 is still aids to play on, as the amount of enemies ramped up from 2, but you now deal significantly less damage.
Remind was a lot of fun though, and yozora is one of the best bosses in the series

>tfw Luxord and Yozora's driver have the same voice actor
>credit rolls: it lists only Yozora voice actor
>Luxord says he doesn't care about Xenaroth or Xigbar plot and gives a jolly card to Sora
I see where this is going

Why exactly couldn't REMIND be in the actual KH 3 at launch? This game didn't need a $30 DLC to fix it, it should've been in the base game from the start

To milk more money out of people.

Yes. ReMind's content blows endgame 2FM out of the water. The bosses are more complex and every single one pushes 3's combat to its absolute limits. Still, 2FM as a whole is a better experience.
KH3 isn't a 4/10. No KH game is that fucking low. I don't know what people would consider to be the worse game, I think it's DDD, and I think that game is a 5/10. Gameplay wise, 3 was okay, but as it has been said the new abilities that came with the free update that came alongside ReMind, and the new keyblades, really injected life back into the game. Personally, I think 3's biggest failings have to do with the story and scenario of the game. I think one of the best things about 2FM is how grand that whole adventure feels, and how many badass moments are sprinkled in the gameplay, provided by the scenario. 3 didn't have any of that, and in the end it was Sora saving everyone again despite him failing quite fucking bad in DDD.

I think just a coliseum would have done wonders for the base game as it would have a fun place to do some extra battles and bosses.

Game's usance. It's the same reason why DMC gets a special edition/update with Vergil a year after vanilla. In KH case they went from base game and final mix game, to final game and pricey dlc

>Xehanort says he picked Demyx because likee Marluxia and Laurexin he's from the age of fairy tails
>Never elaborations on this
>Demyx actually gives Xehanort the finger and betrays him like Saix, Xaldan, the power level guy and Vexen
>During the epilogue scenes Demyx is missing from all the scenes meanwhile we see ever other previous organization member

The gacha games let us know his ass didn't exist in Xehanort's time nor the Foreteller's time as he's not in either of those stories much like Luxord we have no idea where Demyx comes from only that his personality is suspiciously similar to the Master's

I agree DDD is the worst in the series, but kh3 is pretty mediocre in pacing, and combat gets tiring fast, even with switching shenanigans. the enemies in the base game just dont offer a good challenge without being tedious

this has been something on my mind, so I'll throw the question out for everyone
if you were given the choice between 2 games, one is a solid 8/10 all the way through, and the other one has lower lows (say half of it is a 6/10) but higher highs (the rest is 10/10)
which game would you like to be given? would you prefer the consistency of the former, or willingly wade through some bad gameplay to get to the good in the latter?

Is Nomura still good or has he lost his touch?

Attached: 1600906804145.jpg (634x680, 94.22K)

I'll always take an uneven game with moments of perfection over a consistent 8

I choose the latter, à la KH2

the latter
Thats how I felt slogging through kh2fm level 1. putting up with ghosts and their bullshit, pete and HIS bullshit, dancers and they're non staggering oneshots.
the data fights in level 1 and Will made it all worth it. amazing fights.

hows the DLC different to the final remixes?

I got as far as the pirate's world in my level 1 run. I should try to pick it up again soon.

I hope one day I'll be able to man up and attempt Level 1 runs, I'm bad enough on regular crit

it's not any different

what was wrong with vanilla

???
What the fuck are you asking?

It was barebones as fuck. No critical mode, no post game, no oathkeeper or oblivion, slower combat. It was just lackluster

It launched as a regular kh game but underage don't remember this is how it's always been.

so just like kh2 and kh1

Give me the latter. 10/10 moments make up for mediocre segments, and you'll only really remember the highs, anyway

KH3 is easily a 3 out of 10

The latter. There's plenty of solid 8/10 gameplay in the world, but 10/10 kino? That's the ideal we pursue, even if it's only grasped for a moment

Will Final Fantasy ever be relevant in the series again? Why did Nomura just drop it?

Felt so proud of myself my first time beating kh2 lvl1. I have not yet had the balls to do the data fights or any other kh game. Although I'd only really want to do kh1 and maybe kh3 because the rest suck dick enough as it is

Disney

1 and 2 had coliseum bosses and Sephiroth to fight, which gave people something fun to play around with inbetween the story.. 3 had no coliseum or Sephiroth, though one could say the heartless fight after beating the game was its equivalent.

I'm asking why such important parts of the story are regulated to a shitty gacha game not many people will play instead of being on a console you fucking moron. Seriously Ventus possibly being a killer? Ventus being from the past and shit is something never mentioned in the main games so people who never touched this shit were probably confused as hell as who the fuck Chirithy was or what he has to do with Ven especially with Ven seemingly recognizing him at the end.

>Sephiroth to fight,
Added in the English version of kh1
