for once i've been consistently making it out of dwellings and getting as far as the temple or city of gold before the run goes to hell

i also discovered the metal shield can displace olmec's 2nd phase weak point which was very weird to see

i have 9 hours and i havent made it past 2-3

pretty good. working on the last shortcut, need to get a god damned hired hand to through still. Is there a better way to kill the fish than just sit in the bottom right and whip it slowly (assuming you have no weapons)? Is there an easier way to get a hired hand from temple, I don't go there very often.

there's a guaranteed easy to get hired hand on an alternate version of 3-4 but getting there is spoilery

I got to tiamat at like 13 minutes but I had no weapons and no paste, I know you're supposed to stand on her shoulder and whip her but I got fucked

Since you are already speedrunning and going fast anyway, I recommend you take a landmine from 5-1 to neobabylon, you can easily drop the mine at the bodyguard's feet and kill him that way, easy shotgun.
Otherwise it also tends to be easy to drop a bomb on him via the elevator.

How do I move turkeys? Is the only way to whip them and carry them in the short time before they wake up? Is it worth bringing them to jackie chan?

Farthest I've gotten is to the mermaid boss. What's the best method of avoiding damage if you don't have jetpack to fly away quickly from her shout?

I had a golden run, jetpack, 40 bombs with paste, shotgun, everything. I had just gotten to neo babylon for the first time, I went to adjust the settings but my muscle memory kicked in and I pressed instant restart by accident. I haven't made it out of world 2 since.

yang's loot stash can literally spawn nothing. on average though, it usually just spawns like 2k gold or so? considering the time and resources it takes, i just prefer to murder yang and bomb all the turkeys at once for an easy 3 health.

I can consistently get to Neo Babylon now but good lord each stage there is either a cakewalk or a never-ending nightmare of lasers and explosions.
