Is it Kino?

I played 20 minutes of the tutorial and dropped it
it's really fucking intuitive and I cannot stand how slow you move

This.
Except I didn't drop it and played more than the tutorial so that I could get an actual experience of the game and ended up enjoying it.
Its especially great with friends.

its really great. i hope the dev takes up more people so he can work on it faster.

it has a lot of promise but there's a lot of jank

Unironically fun and i'd host a lobby for anons now if i wasn't working nightshifts this weekend. The people playing this on VR scares me more than ghosts just because they can do shit like peak around corners trying to scare you and flail their hands in your face out of nowhere.

Have the player limit increase for map sizes, five for medium sized maps and six for large sized maps, bump up the running speed a bit but increase the ghost speed to match. Also give a little something for dead players to do, maybe they could write in a book or communicate from a spirit box.

I heard from a random i played with that you could previously pick things up as a ghost but it got patched. I can understand as I had the pleasure of fully funding a professional run where one of the 3 players kept hiding our items and played soundboard stuff on his mic. Hope the single dev can pull something off for dead player to do. At least a camera photo of a dead body gives money so thats one thing dead players do.

This game gave me night terrors

Lol

>Ghost's name is Dorthy Martinez
>walk in house
>AY DORTHY MARTINEZ, I'M GONNA GET YOUR WETBACK ASS DEPORTED
>door locks behind me
>lights go out
>mfw

What is this game? I've seen streamers playing it but have no idea what's going on.

Phasmophobia. It's a ghost hunting game. It uses voice recognition so you can actually ask the ghost questions and shit. Made me shit my pants a couple times so it's actually pretty scary here and there.

>me and 2 of my bros are wandering around the school
>can't find this retarded scaredy cat ghost
>just constantly chilling around 1-5 degrees
>we're all using only in game comms for max immersion
>forget and start voicing my annoyances at the coward ghost
>this dumb bitch is such a fucking coward, won't appear, won't do shit
>the second the word shit leaves my lips it goes down to the negatives
>heart beat thumpin
>some horrific abomination appears dead center of my flashlight and sprints towards me
>start just screaming 'crucifix crucifix' at whoevers carrying it
>disappears just as it's about to touch me
>heart beat about to shatter my ribcage
>all of us are whooping and huffing like we ran a marathon
holy shit I love this stupid ass game

Solo > coop

I like it, still haven't died yet despite me being the one who does the dangerous shit, basic premise and good execution

Is co-op with randoms any good? I don't have any friends that play this.

>high school map
>me and two other guys
>ghost's name is Nancy Anderson
>start joking that nancy was a cheerleader who died sucking dick
>"hey nancy, turn off the lights if you suck dick"
>lights turn off
>can't stop fucking laughing

Fun game if a bit jank.
Most recent run had a stuck demon child that kept failing its hunts. Pretty funny when it got unstuck during the last hunt as we left though.

>doing 2 story cabin map
>ghosts name is something hispanic
>friend asks if he can make us some burritos
>lights shut off and door to the kitchen flies open
>can't take the rest of the hunt serious because we keep laughing about angry burrito ghost

>make your own fucking burritos pinche pendejo

it's much more intuitive in VR. flatfags btfo

Maybe. But vr also indicates manlets so it balances out.

Bump. Got $5 wallet credit to burn.

not necessarily. if you have OVR advanced settings installed you can add a Y axis offset so you appear taller in games

Ah nevermind then. Funny as fuck when they dont know that. Played with a friend and watching him walk around looking like he is taking a shit is pretty great.

Mixed as all randoms are, but I've had a fair amount of games were the randoms are entertaining, it helps that most matches have everyone talking.

It's about as good as it can be, as long as the randoms play along and communicate only via in game chat (a lot do not) then you'll have plenty of fun. But if they don't play along, then a lot of the novelty goes away. But you'll still get plenty of spooks and chuckles out of it, and you can always tryhard and play solo for full spooks.

Very fun with friends. Great mix of comedy and actual scary shit. I spent a whole game with the crucifix yelling orthodox scripture at the top of my lungs whenever the ghost started a hunt and the ghost actually ran away from me every time. It was fucking amazing.

Thanks lads. You've convinced me.

t. no friends

you are probably just insanely lucky user. That or you had a banshee. Crucifix does dick all during hunts.

>Walk into random classroom lights off
>EMF level 5

>Talk to the ghost
>No response
>Try in American accent
>Immediate aggression

If I remember it was a Revenant. We had to guess because we just couldn't get the 5 reading, but we had the other two. The power of God was just strong with me. Thing was approaching me at one point too and I ran it back into its room from across the house. My friends were howling the whole time as I screamed my head off at the thing.

Crucifix prevents hunts if you're close enough to the ghost when it's going to start.
It does nothing during the hunt

>join modded lobbies
>5 ghosts
>weird ghost name
> 20 people

You may very well have god at your side than. Revenants are also some of the hardest to run from cause they get big speed boost with visual contact.

That's what i said. Although its only if the crucifix is around the ghosts current "spawn".

There cross play between VR and non-VR players?

>Walking around a farmhouse for like 10 minutes, no ghost activity at all
>Ghost's name is Maria, calling out and asking questions and still nothing
>"Hey Maria, yo mama's so fat she can't even fit in this kitchen!"
>Suddenly all the lights flickering like crazy nonstop and hear stomping around above me
>"I'm so sorry Maria, I didn't mean that baby..."
>Everything stops
>"...I meant yo mama's so fat she couldn't even fit in this house!"
>Lights all go out and door slams in front of me

Yes.

yes.

>liked the game at first because it was scary
>hated the game because I thought it was buggy as fuck
>liked the game again after I figured out the mechanics
It's not THAT scary especially with more than 2 people, but the gameplay feels pretty solid and fun. Great social game. Voice breaking constantly is annoying as shit
