At that price-point and core-count you are overpaying for shit the average game will never take advantage of. You only need that many cores/threads if you are using your computer to both game and stream, or if your doing 4k video rendering and 3D modeling.

But many companies are willing to ship you the required equipment to get your old cooler properly fitted on newer boards. Some do it for a few buck, others do it for free.

They are starting on x series that is more expensive and has no cooler to get enthusiasts to pay more. Not to mention bigger performance delta against last gen(non x were way more popular). If you want a cooler wait for non x variant like any sane person would.
