Having played Chaos head, Chaos Child, and Steins 0. I'm convinced that no other game in the series will stack up to it.

I can tell you that almost everyone that has seen the anime or read it has said that it's the weakest SciAdv novel.

I'm convinced that Steins;gate was just a lucky fluke. Every other game in the series ranges from boringly mediocre to complete garbage.

Steins;Gate is overall the best but Chaos;Child is very good.

Jesus that's some garbage taste. At least lead with the sequel. The common route of Child was on par with steins for intensity and twists and that alone blew head out of the water. Sadly the rest of the game didn't hold up.

The entire series is garbage except for Steins;Hate, which is the only one to have a good protagonist, a good sci--fi hook, a great best bro in Daru and top tier heroines

Head os terrible but Chaos;Child is surprisingly decent. Steins;Gate is still the only true great game in the whole.series though.

God, Island is such shit. It only looks better in retrospect because Key's similar VN Summer Pockets was even worse.

8-bit was good, as was some of Phenogram, but yeah. Everything else is so bad I'm inclined to agree with you.

The giant robot was the most wasted aspect of it all. Honestly, it would be been a much better story if it was just about a high school kid finding secret files inside an AI Database by accident.

I'm still in the common route and enjoying it so far. The mystery hasn't really sunk it, but the protags banter keeps me entertained. I probably should've lead with this chad.

The coolest thing about Steins;Gate was how grounded it felt despite being a time travel plot. It all felt lived in.
I'll never understand why they followed it with a plot about super advanced AIs and a giant mecha

nah, most of the actually sad shit doesn't happen until the end of a route, its way more light hearted for most of it

its fun, and similar to all nakige the common routes are very light hearted and full of comedy, just to prepare you for the trainwreck that come right after
