The only reason to get a PS5 instead of an Xbox Series

《《《《
VR is so much fun.
Comparing it to the Quest 2 as a standalone the PSVR has better quality. And since I do not own PC it seems like a great opportunity to get into it.

Sony has support on VR while Microsoft still refuses to acknowledge it, and it's so dumb.

Its kinda weird that they haven't mentioned anything vr for the ps5. Still waiting to see the new controller and headset. Not dropping 400 till then

>console vr
>fun

Yes yes your right. They haven't said anything. But they r not going to abandoned it I hope.

>PSVR design is so comfortable
>Every other vr companies copies it

>shit resolution
>runs like shit
>garbage earbuds
what the fuck is the point

anyone done Dolphin VR much? do any games in particular stand out with it?

I tried farpoint on the psvr and i luved it. First time i tried vr and it was amazing

I'm curious as to what games on PSVR people think are so great, because I've been underwhelmed.
Resident Evil was amazing in VR. Blood & Truth and Saint & Sinners were solid. Everything else I've played has been absolute garbage.

Hitman is coming to VR on psvr, that should be pretty fun.
I hope it comes to pc too though, because I just don't think the psvr is a good vr system even if it's very accessible.

>psvr
>more comfy than the index
lmao

I like Rush of Blood, but I like arcade games, if you like more interactive and story driven stuff you might not like it, but it was one of the first AAA games released when PSVR was first released.

They mentioned already PSVR 2 cannot be announced right now, as PS5 release is prio, and showing too many things can feel overwhelming. But it exists. Maybe E3 2021/22 is the time.
That being said, I feel like Microsoft can partner with Valve or Oculus any moment and just make the hardware compatible. Imagine Quest 2 tethering with Xbox Sex. I would not worry, new VR is coming sooner than later.

Oh great. Cause thats the only thing stopping me from getting an Xbox SeX

I can't imagine it being fun with PS Move controllers since they limit the gameplay options so much
I had a PSVR for a year and moved over to a Rift S. While graphics were obviously way better it's the controllers that were the biggest improvement that made me realize how shit Moves were.

It's controller only I think, though it seemed like they were working on other options.

If it's controller only then it's even worse
Sadly PSVR is the most dated VR system out there in pretty much every regard - terrible tracking method, controllers that weren't even designed for VR in the first place, very low resolution of the headset.
PSVR2 can't come soon enough

That one patent or whatever for hand tracking from sony looked pretty promising.
I wonder what they'll go for in the future, I imagine the psvr emboldened them to try going out on a further limb.

I didn't tried with the controllers i tried farpoint with the vr aim controller. It was awesome.

U can say whatever u want about Sony but they have good support on VR.

Phil Spencer came out and said that 'people are not asking for VR' then later said Iron Men on VR was amazing.

I dont know, I think Microsoft is doing a good job so far but no VR support really puts me off from purchasing an xbox :/

I bet if you tried an Index you'd cum yourself. It's better than PSVR in every single calculable way.

What makes me completely confused about Xbox not at least allowing VR to be an option for Xbox is that I'm pretty sure with WMR as a brand existing they wouldn't even need to make a specific "Xbox Brand Headset", they'd just need to make software drivers that let you use existing WMR headsets on Xbox.

Mario Kart Wii plays great in dolphin VR, but not much else. Everything else I have tried has been a veritable clusterfuck of issues, I have no idea why only MKWii seems to be the one that just works great.

VR hitman is gonna be dogshit. it doesn't have move support, rather you only have ONE HAND that is motion tracked, and it's tracked by moving around the dualshock 4 controller like a fucking wiimote. I don't know why they didn't just fucking use the move controls because despite being shit VR controllers, they're way better than using a standard gamepad controller AS a motion controller.

fucking retarded dev decision.

I like hitman enough that it's at least a bone thrown in my direction, user.
I could spend hundreds of hours in it if it gets any kind of vr on a decent headset whatsoever.

I see why it's not coming to PC now, that's an absolutely garbage way of doing things. Like, why bother adding motion controls at all if you're not gonna do them properly?

There is the real possibility of the player grabbing a real person who made the mistake of walking in front of the vr player and strangling them with piano wire then suing Eidos to death

either this is low tier bait or you're braindead. if the company was so concerned that, somehow, a retard of a player will "accidentally murder" someone while playing a VR game (while holding a wire between their controllers nonetheless.) what the fuck are you smoking? in your world, wouldn't this "possibility" apply to literally any other VR game with motion controls in it? you're dumb and should kill yourself

I looked for the parts I need for PSVR on Ebay (since the "official" bundles are all sold out) and it seems the one part that is impossible to get is the fucking connection cable for the headset. They sell cables that only work with the v1 PSVR, but not the v2.

Astro Bot Rescue Mission, but that game could have just as easily not been a VR game.

>buy PS5, it has an incredibly expensive gimmick product!
>doesn't even have half-life alyx, the only decent VR game

>New console launch
>Need to sell people on why the ps5 is better
>Withhold major info about VR, it's too much info for our customers
Sony is really confused, I thought they'd not even announce a price until after launch

what's the deal with consoles, is the VR tied to a particular console generation? Seems like a much shittier investment than just buying an index alongside a PC that you can get upgrades for in parallel.

>games running at 720p and below 60fps
>listings on ebay selling it for >$300
christ

The psvr in particular is really inferior as a vr device, but it's very accessible for a lot of people, which is one of the main things that prevents a lot of people p from buying vr.
From what I know it sold pretty well because of that.

For me it was the cheapest VR set at the time and it sort of just works. RE7 was the platform seller for me since I really wanted to play it in VR and its Playstation exclusive. That said I bought mine 2nd hand for cheap from someone who basically never used it.

>PSVR better than Quest 2
No

Why are you buying it in parts? Just buy a whole kit off someone for cheap. Consider Mercari instead of ebay. I low ball people all the time there and people just accept my offer since they don't really give a fuck.
