jump uses movement but it also is limited by strength. If you ran up to someone , attacked, then jumped back in one turn then you could have done the same just running

I think the entire reason the devs made that post is because theyre going to have race-specific interactions and stuff (IE: being a Gith might give you a special quest line with the other Gith or a MindFlayer later on and being Tiefling might be important when you run into le Avernus devils again.

I think if you pick Humans people wont have a unique experience.
