Set Green - The battle begins with all panels as Grass Panels.
Set Ice - The battle begins with all panels as Ice Panels.
Set Magma - The battle begins with all panels as Lava Panels.
Set Holy - The battle begins with the player's panels as Holy Panels.
If you don't care about any of those programs then change instead of improving
Custom style is god tier by the way
Well I hated Elec in 2, so I might as well find a new one
>playing white
But why?
Blue only has that game breaking folder recover or whatever right? I don't want to play on baby mode, thanks
>still no romhack that adds both game's content to make an ultimate version
White has the E-code of doom and multiple AreaGrab *s.
Ground is great but Elec is weak.
Always hope to get Wood or Heat.
Go FireGuts or go home
Evil your Navi partner was Roll and she went dark, would you let her be a bad influence on you?
>forcebly installs soulclen inside her
Dark navis love the big white prog.
God bless you user for speaking the truth! White version > Blue version for this very reason!
God, elec is so weak and SO SLOW, what the fuck were they thinking!
Why is bubble man so strong
>E-code of doom
Am I missing something? P and F codes are much more broken than E is.
F code alone breaks the game.
Flashman on ice stage combo'd with eleball 3 rips through everything.
Plantman with eleball 3 and triplebomb, and yoyo3 is crazy as well.
Both Plantman and Flashman have break so you don't even have to wait to kill CannBall viruses.
Spam the B button.
What does your folder look like?
There you go brosky
This is of course before I change it now that I kinda know what he does
Heh, what now bubble man? I completely disabled your bubbles!
Ah yes, the great wall of Yumland.
Is this your first time playing any MMBN game?
You have alphabet soup, so I know it's always tempting to put in the strongest chip possible into your folder, but it ends up making a clunky folder. I you have lifesword so that's actually a really good starting place for most folder building. I'm not saying you have enough resources to make a proper L - code folder right now, but what I personally do is slowly start to consolidate codes. I will go with a folder with 4 different codes, down to 3, then to 2, and then I'll finish my folder with 1 code.
If you're really struggling and you can't do anything go to Higsby's shop and talk to the numberman code trader and input this code
54390805
This will produce the chip Bolt *.
So this is really powerful and because it works intrinsically against this boss. Bolt only works if you are using an Electric based style, which you are and if you have an obstacle on the field like a bolder or rock. Bubbleman spawns with that huge rock on the field so what you do is sit on the bottom most row, and if you noticed bubbleman is programmed to stay out of the same row as you. Bolt will hit in a 3x3 around the obstacle on the field.
I've only played BN3 - 6. Are 1 and 2 worth playing? What are the optimal releases to play?
1 no, unless you reeaaally feel like completing the series for bragging rights
2 it's fine
2 is worth playing. 1 is rough to play. I suggest the remake of BN1 on the DS called Megaman Operate Shooting Star which provides a lot of quality of life updates. It's a japan only release, but there's an english fan-patch.
1 is definitely a game with great concept, but poor implementation. 2 is where they figure everything out.
If you can, get the fan translation for BN1: Operate Shooting Star since it adds a lot of QOL from the later entries to make BN1 more enjoyable. BN2 has always been pretty good sans the Freezeman scenario near the end (do whatever side quests are needed to unlock the shortcuts to the various squares, trust me).
I tried to be sneaky and grab his panels, then repair the hole so no more bubbles.
You can't grab that square
Just fucking shoot him
I played 1 and 2 recently like this.I rather use chips I like than a shit ton of same coded chips that I find meh
I went through BN2 last year and as far as I could tell, even if you have the shortcuts unlocked, the shortcut area is still blocked off by ice for like 75% of the scenario before you can use it. Helps a little but still the biggest slog in the game.
You might like Star Force, that game removes chip codes entirely so you can basically make your folder out of whatever you want. I always beat Battle Network games as a kid (albeit with a struggle) by just throwing in whatever I wanted without regards to chip codes, but replaying them as an adult and limiting myself to 3 chip codes once I get to mid-game I'm pleasantly surprised at how smoothly things go now.
Yeah I know how you feel. I remember getting annoyed with some of my playthroughs because they felt "samey". I started to look for weird chips that I never really used and tried to combo it. My last MMBN3 playthrough I had a Salamander based folder that I combo'd with Magnum chips. I had a ton of fun just trying to make it work. I stopped using Invis chips so I could spend time actually learning the boss and dodging attacks.
>Star Force
One of the issues with starforce is how little chip variety there is. the BN series always had plenty of oddball chips to experiment with because of the layout of the field. Unfortunately because of how SF is set up a lot of chips feel kinda "samey".
