What VR games should I play?

Just ordered this, never owned a vr device before. HL Alyx is first on my list, what else is good?

Walking dead S&S, Lone Echo, Asgards Wrath, Moss

In terms of shooters, Contractors is pretty good if you just wanna play something like cod in vr though you have to join at peak times if you wanna get a full game going.
Pavlov is more csgo-like and has a much higher playerbase though due to having an abundance of community content.
There's also Onward which is more along the lines of milsim.
If you're fine with sideloading content then Hyper Dash is really fun, it's more like an arena shooter than a standard fps.
I'm pretty sure all these games you can play natively on quest.

If you've got hands that aren't all too steady then it helps investing in a gunstock. The more known vr gunstocks like protube and mamut apto go for a hefty sum of cash though so only get one if you find yourself shooting dudes quite often

How's Beatsaber via Oculus Link or Virtual Desktop, does the latency make it unplayable?

Beat Saber is the game I've played the most. Get ModAssistant to enable custom songs and get them from bsaber.com

HL Alyx is the only good FPS game I've tried.

Google Earth VR is quite cool to play around in.

Tetris Effect is fucking amazing, highly recommended if you want a psychedelic experience. Thumper too.

Gorn is okay but not really worth the money, I haven't tried Blade & Sorcery but I imagine it's much better.

Racing games are pretty shit to be honest, the low res of the headset is very apparent as you're always looking into the distance.

No Man's Sky has a very good implementation of VR but it runs like complete shit so I can't recommend it unfortunately.

what game?

is the quest version of beat saber good if you want to play custom songs too?
or is that worth getting the pc one for

Its a bit more reliable with link but VD looks better if you have a good router, newest update improved controller latency and its a noticeable improvement

I have a quest I use to play beatsaber wirelessly via virtual desktop and I can do expert plus no problem

I had pirated BeatSaber on Quest1 and could use all custom songs.
It's not something you need to run from PC really, graphics are way too simple to make a difference.

I don't think you can do custom songs in the Quest version. if you can it's probably a pain in the ass so I would just get it for PC.

Squadrons

pcars 2

nah, you have have to use an app (Beatsaver I believe), then you just pick the songs you want from bsaber.com, sync and that's it.

I just got mine in the post, and my USB cable is coming later today. I'm looking at:

After including the cable and the actual strap, this is only £200 cheaper than the HP Reverb G2. Should I get that instead if I'm just going to use it with my PC?

I'd say wait till real reviews come out and we know how good controllers/tracking is.

The smart thing to do is to look for discounts which can actually exist for Q2 since it's sold at a lot more retailers, to not get the official accessories because chink copies will come out and actually be worth their money, and to not use a USB because you should be using Virtual Desktop with a WiFi 6 router for wireless PC VR.

Lies Beneath

I'm waiting to see if they drop the price of the Index to compete and if the Quest 2 wireless thing at least possible.

I got a cable for £10 on Amazon. Don't be a poof. The strap is worth it though.

Don't forget to join vrpirates and pirate every game.

Please add contractors this game could use a larger playerbase. Also just torrent vr kanojo not worth the cash

How do you torrent VR games? Just like a regular game? How does it connect to the VR headset?

My man

TWD: Saints and Sinners is the best VR game imo.

It's pretty easy. You can download songs in game. You just have to get sidequest and get that going. Slightly annoying but like, 15 minutes of work and you do it once (sometimes during an update too I guess)

Pretty sure you just need to run the app while having steam vr open so it can plug into that

Are there exclusives in the world of VR or you can play every game on whatever VR device?

Exclusives.

You can only play Hitman and Resident Evil in VR on the PS4.
You can only play some other shit on Quest.
etc.

You need a facebook account to use the thing.

Oculus technically has some exclusives, but, they've opened them up recently (their new ones, Medal Of Honor for example, is already on Steam)
Also, you just download an app called Revive and you can play Oculus exclusives on Steam VR

There is PSVR and Quest as well but those are almost like mobile VR games when they're exclusive to that.

What do other peoples hours look like for this? What the fuck about this even makes it seem like it picks up the hours in double time

Oculus exclusives but you can use revive for that shit

VR sucks Mark Cuckerberg

People don't want to close themselves off from reality in a tiny little video game Bubble. They want augmented reality

>Hitman
holy fuck thank you for bringing this to my attention, now I'll have another use for my psvr collecting dust

No problem, amigo.
