What do you consider 100%ing a game? Acquiring all trophies/achievements (or filling the in-game task list/completion percentage bar if it has one) or do you set your own objectives?
What do you consider 100%ing a game like Pokémon or Dark Souls for example?

If I get the platinum then I'm usually done with the game even if it's not 100%, because most of the time 100% a game involves a shit ton more work than getting 100% of the trophies
Why'd they have to ruin trophies bros? I went from level 21 to something ridiculous like 450 and now it feels meaningless
How do you feel they've been ruined
It just feels kind of arbitrary, getting to level 21 took ages, and it felt like I did that, being level 450 or whatever feels empty and I don't really give a shit now
no one gives a shit about trophy levels/gamerscore. it was always about the individual cheevo and completion.
Plenty of people give a shit though so I don't know what you mean by that, I mean there are entire trophy and achievement communities
this
couldn't care less about the trophy levels myself
lol i know dude, i use TA and PSNP. i have literally never meant anyone who cares about trophy levels and gamerscore has been irrelevant since the early 2010s.
Fuck "achievements" let me finish the game how I want to. Let me fucking enjoy it. Don't let me do mundane boring shit to get some fucking gay ass trophy.
Oh I see, fair point user
That being said I do wish Steam Achievements had some kind of value associated with them. No reason other than my own autism.
then ignore the trophies you dumb fucking sperg
holy shit just play the game, finish it and put it back on your shelf why are you letting meaningless commodities rule your brain?
>then ignore the trophies you dumb fucking sperg
Wooooow it's not like I'm already doing that dumbass. Holy shit. Go and enjoy your autistic trophy collecting. Because you just like mindless chores.
so why are you bitching about them in a thread that you should have filtered idiot
it really depends. most of the time I just beat the game. if I enjoyed it I play it a little more and if the plat is easy enough I might go for it
I consider 100% to be completing all the game's content, getting top score in all levels and/or gathering all collectables (if there are any). The problem with achievements is that some games have retarded grindy shit like 10,000 enemies, gather a bajillion currency, replay the WHOLE game 3+ times, play online when the servers died years ago etc.
Because I can do whatever the fuck I want, when I want. I can express how I please and tell you that trophies are shit. This is a discussion forum. What are you, stupid?
autism
>play online when the servers died years ago etc.
Batmam Arkham Origins for me
Beating the story and doing all side missions is 100% the game to me cause by proxy you unlock everything else, if the game has collecting then I'll do those too so long as it's not a retardedly high number like "collect 200 letters" or some shit.
>Having the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want is autism
I remember when I had tunnel thought processes and limited to myself on what I can do. I hope when you grow some hair on your balls you'll realize this when you get older.
Steam achievements will never hold value because cheats for games are so easily accessible on PC. Less so on consoles though save editors still exist.
FUCK Sekiro for having that fucking "Learn all skills" trophy.
Give me a charmless bell run trophy in its stead, the XP requirements per level are fucking dumb
it's almost always the other way around user
>kill 5000 enemies with this weapon
>beat the game on hard without touching the floor
ect
dont reply user, i made the mistake of feeding it attention
Playing it until I don't feel like playing it again. That's 100% of it for me.
Post your psnprofiles links nerds I want to judge your accounts
I had to play to NG+++++ to get that one. Absolutely worth it though, I fucking loved Sekiro.
BEWARE EVERYONE
There's a person in this thread who has CRACKED THE MATRIX
Yes he has COMPLETED INDIVIDUALISM
He does WHATEVER HER WANTS!!!
He is NOT LIMITED!!! BY WHAT HE CAN DO!!!
Do not reply to him or he will tell you banal tropes STRAIGHT out of the head of ANY BOY IN PUBERTY
BEWARE!!!
>achievement requires entire multiple playthroughs or even speed runs
I do most of my gaming on PC. Trying for the Bloodborne plat but I kind of fucked myself by finishing NG without finishing the chalice dungeons. Now that I'm doing them on NG+ they're a massive slog. Fuck fighting Rom in that tiny ass room.
I do too, user. But I haven't done a Charmless bell NG run and I really want to.
However I would feel that doing so would be my final run and that the game would be over after that.
Now I have to do NG++++ or some shit first and idk. Just stings.
Game is truly amazing though, didn't like it that much until NG+ kicked in and boy what a kick.
I don't mind second playthrough but fuck having to do it 3 or even more times
Most of the time I just focus on platinum. Most games make you go through everything they have to offer to get the platinum anyway. Sometimes I'll do the dlc too if I already own it, but more often than not I just ignore it. I shouldn't need to spend extra money just to feel like I completed a game.
Wait for the update later this month. I already got all the Steam achievements and I'm seriously considering buying it on PS4 so I can get the plat too. I did a charmless run with the bell and it was honestly one of the most exhilarating and rewarding things I've ever done in a video game. After beating Owl 2 and Isshin on that run it made doing a regular NG ez-pz.
Before achievements were a thing I considered having every quest completed, every type of boss and mob killed and every nook and cranny explored to be a total completion.
Now a days i guess achieves have to be thrown in as well as yet another objective.
I never ever cared to 100% any game as I don't see the point once you got what you wanted and needed out of it.
Achievements equals participation trophies imo. Don't really see the point of them more than being yet another extra for you to expand your playtime with.
Same. I have the rest of the series completed except for Origins.

Be gentle user
We’re friends on psn
Im pretty sure they don't scale with ng+. After a certain point they were supposedly designed with co-op in mind. That Rom fight was easier than the normal one for me, but maybe I got lucky, I just bumrushed the fuck out of him and left the babies alone. Blood letting beast was after that and that's where I tapped out. Always meant to go back but now I fear I've forgotten too much

My friends keep demanding to play the same 3 fucking games! My backlog went to shit.
That's how I tackled the first battle but for some reason his magic attacks keep fucking me. I'll try again soon.
Just have my plats instead. I don't need my PSNprofile page artificially inflated with viewer numbers.
EVERYONE COME VISIT THIS FAGGOT'S PROFILE AND MAKE FUN OF HIS PATHETIC COMPLETION %
>Dragon Ball FighterZ
>and Xenoverse
I wish I had the skill and patience for these games. I can't compete in FighterZ and I can't handle the grind in Xenoverse.
When I enjoy a game & would like to experience everything the devs have to offer. Other then that it's a good excuse to experience different games in my backlog. I do hate all the tedious bullshit devs will sometimes put in games tho as it kills any drive to replay their games.
Right know I'm pushing through Mad Max (Got till the end of the month or NEVER able to get it). Honestly forcing myself a lot more then I would like to but given the hard timer don't have much of a choice. Not looking forward with Battleborne grind...
