Fine. You get self-conscious because you want to be good at it, so you start telling yourself that you'll come out to the range regularly and work on your grouping. Then the cost of ammo hits you and you wonder if being able to get a two and half inch group at 10 yards is really worth it or not, eventually you stop going to the range at all.
Or you actually buy a gun for a reason, like hunting or sport shooting, or have friends who regularly go to the range.
I got into cowboy action shooting for a time, but I was sucky at it. Still pretty fun to hang out with old guys and shoot shit
