What the fuck did they do with Bayonetta damage in 2. Why punch attacks feel like I'm hitting with wet noodle unless I'm using discount devil trigger
>2
user....
What
2 was directed by someone else and has a ton of combat problems, it's garbage to play seriously
i cant believe gacha killed /cgg/ cuhrazybros......
I tried getting /cgg/ going again but it either died or I was kicked out
>it's garbage to play seriously
Eh, not really. Bosses are miles better than gow-tier shit from 1, although some flying battles are bad because you can't see shit like in first Sage fight. Weapons have more unique flavour to them not dmc tier weapons but they are moving in right direction.
Bosses in 1 were pure kinography you pleb
i'm so shit at all those games it hurts
i wish the DMC type games had the monster hunter setting where your directional attacks ignore where your character is facing, so i can just lock-on and press up/or whatever move i am doing
Pretty sure MH doesn't do that either though
>Kinography
Only if you have shit taste
>he got filtered
>filtered
Just keep saying it
>kinography
Ahahaha
Bros I want to become a GOD at Vanquish, how do I git gud? I've beaten the game on normal and hard, so I have the basics.
monster hunter world had a setting for it
makes using greatsword, swaxe, gunlance, cb, and lance way better for inputs, but makes bow and insect glaive weird (theyre both shitty weapons anyway)
i still dont get why everyone likes vanquish
i have never seen gameplay of why its so praised
its just sliding/slo-mo then waiting for the recharge
i even looked for gameplay on jewtube to see why its good, other than the cool melee stuff you can sometimes do i've seen nothing
>/cgg/ migrated to discord
lmao
cause it looks cool while you play, duh
Don't go there it is infested with 4fags still seething over how dmc 5 is different from 4.
shut up jack packard
youtu.be
I've never used lock-on in World with any weapon besides S&S and even in those cases situationally. In case of Greatsword, being able to manually adjust swing and direction for specific moves (like shoulder for repositionin) is vital, switch axe is so braindead it hardly needs lock-on, same with CB and finally gunlance and lance both suffer considerably from lock on (GL especially with Normal type) lance in the case of guard steps and GL in the case of full bursts and step reloads.
>orgasmic gameplay once you grasp it
>pushes its concept to the limit
>fun campaign with only one bullshit segment
>you get to take out an Arms Fort on foot
Maybe I was missing something, but it felt like Vanquish had too much time where it just like playing a regular TPS. A really good TPS mind you, but still.
The game shined when it was throwing in more action elements like cool boss fights, and those mini boss enemies that you could parry to make them shatter.
You could do a cool slide kick, but it wasn't too practical or efficient.
>just like playing a regular TPS
Besides fighting Burns when?
>he stayed in cover in Vanquish
post time spent in cover statistic
This is a really good metric honestly.
My first playthrough had a huge cover percentage, but my second only had something like %5
>that video
how could i have been this wrong
i-i didnt know
should i play with kb&m or controller, lads
i wanna do those punches & flashkick launchers
i only ever use the classic camera snap
greatsword
>it stops it wobbling when you want to aim charged hits
swaxe, lances, & charge blade
>makes side dodges and back axe mode attack/ lances directionals more reliable
i just wish the old monhuns had the setting
i hope rise does
Controller
Don't use melee on the shitty robots, use it against big guys
The disc launcher doesn't overheat your ARS when you melee
Starting a slide then rolling gives you invuln while letting you recharge the ARS
Hey anons, anyone knows ways to cancel moves with dante in DMC5? i just want to do long ass combos, but i need to dodge shit too.
Wrote this in response to an user, but I feel like there's so much more to learn
>DT Explosion
>Mapping summoned swords to the left bumper or any of the triggers
>Sword Hangers (firing a summoned sword at the right time can stop a launcher from launching an enemy/keep an enemy in the air)
>Round Trip into Judgement Cut (after performing Round Trip, perform Judgement Cut before FE gets back to you)
>Jump Cancelling Aerial Rave and Starfall (super advanced that I can't do yet: use sword hangers to chain multiple helm breakers after each other)
>Using Trick and Summoned Swords/Sword Formations whenever possible
>Taunting with the Yamato near enemies and not inputting anything gives you extra DT over time, and so does unsheathing Yamato in font of enemies
>Using wide-reaching attacks (Aerial Rave/Yamato Combo/Force Edge combo/Spiral Swords/Judgement Cuts/DTE) against multiple enemies at once to gain style
Anything else to master DMC3 Vergil cuhrazy bros?
I struggle to get SSS ranks consistently with few enemies on screen (Haven't played any difficulties yet so normal), and I feel like I'm doing something wrong.
And I legitimately don't know when I should be using Force Edge (I get that Yamato is for crowd control, and Beowulf is for strong but slow 1on1 combat)
Any tips that can carry over to (or are for) DMC4SE Vergil are welcome.
