Did they explain how each character is going to differ? The ads said you could recruit anyone you saw, so is it about stats? Is it that they're each temporarily playable? How do they deal with this, exactly?

I think they're straight up fascistic rather than just conservative, but yeah, your point still stands. You'll probably find some aspects of the game will be be left wing, others right and some will be up in the air, as is custom with modern Ubisoft trying to pander to all sides
