It's RE5 but worse

It's really not. I feel like everyone that played it only played for the first 15 min.

I enjoyed it.
A better Lost planet 3, than Lost planet 3

It’s pacing is fucking awful and the villain is extremely forgettable. It’s not scary, not even in the tense kind of way dead space 2 was. The story is bad and the decision to include a love triangle is baffling. It’s a triple A game so it’s at least competently made but it’s still terrible.

Its pretty good. Dlc sucks ass though. Not canon. Story ended when they killed the moon

I've played it to the end, it was insultingly bad.
A spit in the face of every fan of the first game.
Deleted it off my vidya archive harddrive forever.

Yes it's fucking bad. Never played it tho.

It's enjoyable enough if you're playing coop, but the same can be said for just about anything. I found the weapon crafting system pretty obtuse starting out, but towards the end I was beginning to enjoy the different combinations. Overall, it's fucking dogshit compared to the first two games and could barely be called part of the same series.

nope it's pretty good horror game maybe even the best Dead Space game redditors are seething about it.

this

>horror game
Name one part of the game that counts as "horror"

the early part of the game is actually the best

yes it was THAT bad after the pure videogame kino that was DS1 and 2

fuck your sequel

don't remember anymore but the part were the Regenerator chases you was scary.

It killed the series so that’s pretty scary

It has its moments, but the scars left by the microtransactions,re-hashing co-op area's,human combat sequences and the afromented love triangle really brings it down to mediocre status.

Yes it's really that shit. It would be much better if it actually felt like Dead Space which Awakened felt like. The alien city is the best part about that game.

reminder that the definitive way to play dead space 1 is on 800x600 on medium settingswithout the framerate cap to emulate most people's PCs in 2008

Attached: ds1.png (800x600, 629.2K)

fuck me 1 was a good game

Any lore autist here? How did Necromorphs originate if you need those flying fuckers with their yellow fluid to create necromorphs?

I don't care about the lack of horror elements, since nobody above the age of 12 would even get scared by dead space 1 and 2.
The REAL issues with Dead Space 3 that make it significantly worse are lack of hitstun on enemies, nerfed stasis, limb cutting being de emphasized, padded content, worse aesthetic/atmosphere, cringy storytelling, weak pacing, and an overall feeling of cheapness.
It's the same downgraded feeling you get when you go from Dark Souls 1 to Dark Souls 2. Everything feels weaker and less impactful, and it sacrifices quality for quantity.
t. 150+ combined hours in both dead space games and has beaten dead space 2 on hardcore

I wish dead space 3 never happened. EA were expecting to sell this shite more then 1+2 combined which was a complete delusion on ea's part since they made visceral to rush the game for the holiday season.

It’s not that bad, just a disappointment for a lot of people.
I actually like it a lot, it’s a fun game if you aren’t a pretentious hipster faggot
The retards that still post here don’t even like VIDEOGAMES, so take all the bitching with a grain of salt.

i find myself replaying this and 2, sometimes even 3, once every year.
one of those games that keeps me coming back like VTMB, bioshock and half-life 2.

I always wondered about this too. We never see a body reanimate without one of those things so how do the necros spread so quickly?

The alien city was creepy as fuck and I liked the coop. Terrible combat though and that DLC ending was hilariously nihilistic.

No way fag

“Infectors” just speed up the process by injecting people with pure necrotic-juice

Necromorphs were kind of retconned; any biological material close enough to a market signal will eventually start moving and become a necromorph

It's not a horror game

I hated how it basically made it so the moons were basically completely unstoppable and there's absolutely no hope whatsoever for any life in the universe against them.

the markers get discovered, they make people homicidal and insane, influences them to create more markers and worship them, and then when's there enough dead bodies the markers send out a signal of sorts that reanimate dead cells or something like that

Almost everything maxed Dead Space
A 9600GT for $150, literally what I had, ran it at 60fps
You're were a child without a job, dumb, or a 3rd worlder to not play the game at the highest setings.

I remember my friend had a 4650, google says launched at $130, and he played at 1080p medium/high

What they did to Ellie is unironically some of the most sexist writing I have ever seen. Someone at EA had a bad relationship or a cuck fetish.

>sexist writing

played it in ps triple

what happened? didnt play 3, luv Ellie she cute

Yeah sorry you're triggered but ds3 Ellie sucked
Her involvement in ds3 is to yell at you for not trusting her new better bf who spends the enetire game trying to kill you, then gets mad when you kill him. Carver was designed because EA wanted two male characters and didn't want playable Ellie.

I don't think that was ever retconned in that fashion, the marker signal always reanimated corpses if given enough time. I don't think it was ever stated just how long it was from when the outbreak reached the Ishimura to Isaac arriving, but I always thought it was a day at most.
The Valor falling to a single Slasher from that escape pod though I still will never get.

my condolences
t. XChad

poor Isaac
rescues a super cute girl and she doesnt even wanna be his gf
I guess she made it up to him by coming back on the ship, but still, shed be dead on that station without Isaac

But it does tie up the series nicely. All life between earth and wherever the Moons originated is gone, all Dead Space :^)

Kind of sucks that the series was a waste of time. Nothing ends up mattering.

wow, it's almost like every adult relationship has problems how sexist to point out reality

i had a shitty pc at the time which my parents didnt want to replace, was playing it on an hd3650 AGP 512mb, but the CPU was holding things back.
some amd sempron single core lol

Imagine getting offended because I said EA wrote a character badly. I know you have no clue what you're talkikg about but its just embarrassing.

I'm playing the serie for the first time and I'm at chapter 5 of the first game. I'm running around with Plasma Cutter, Flamethrower, Pulse Rifle and Contact Bean. Which good weapon should I get and which one of the currently equipped should I sell?

Hamond was pretty rational in pointing out that going to the planet's surface was a fucking insane suicide mission, but he was such a petty asshole about every other thing. The fact that Ellie still gets sad for this dumb douchebag (even when he's about to gun both you and Carver down) also made me hate Ellie. Made me miss having almost no side-characters in DS1

That wasn't the problem, the problem was the whole love triangle in DS3 genuinely felt like it was written by a bad fanfiction.com romance oneshot writer.

bro its AN ADULT RELATIONSHIP when your friend who you went through hell with, gets a mudering bf who wants to kill you and supports him
