No but being a coombrain does.

only when the game wasn't developed with it in mind

is this supposed to be raytracing enabled? cause it looks like shit

Ray tracing is overhyped. Competent devs will already light scenes in a realistic way with existing tools. The biggest thing about RT is that it will take less effort and ressources to do so now. This is why they have to bring back 20 year old games to sell people on the technology. Of course Quake is gonna look better with realistic shadows, it would look better with literally any kind of modern enhancement.

The one exciting thing is potentially new gameplay possibilities with accurate light simulation but they are gonna fuck it up too by keeping making the same rehashed games year after year and it will go to waste.

What settings/shader is this?

The cel shading looked better, op.

but in open world environments with day/night cycles you can't rely on static lighting

what's the difference apart from the character rendering, of which you can only see the back?

Cemu works with reshade.

Post-processing effects and colour grading are what destroys all soul and makes all games look like absolute dogshit.

almost all game rely on those

Which is why almost all modern games look like absolute dogshit.

The lighting and shadows look different, have higher contrast with cel shading. The setup you've got might look more natural, but also looks more washed out. To me, anyway.

I'm not saying I too that shot I just wondered what's different as from what I've seen only characters are cel shaded in the first place

Is there a mod that gets rid of the shitty blur filter that is over everything?

the default game is a lot more washed out as it has the fog filter

yes

Hence asking what fucking settings or shader is used. What the fuck man.

That's fair. I play with settings that get rid of ~40% of the fog density, so I'm probably forgetting how the base game looks.

that looks flat too but what's with the bloom in the black bars?

It shouldn't, in theory. The problem happens when the people applying it (to fan recreations of old games) don't understand the art direction that was originally present. There's many distracting things in that image that would not have been present if the director had overseen it.

Mod for the sheikah slate camera rune that takes away the borders.

why did you smear those poos on link

what are your credentials? what's distracting you? what's you powerlevel?

the absolute truth. raytracing meme faggots btfo

a million different shaders with their own configurations nigga

Considering your meaningless buzzword stands for "looking like shit = GOOD", yes. I will once again say I can't WAIT until reddit and twitter pick up on the SOUL SOULLESS MEME so you fags become too afraid of being labeled "normalfags" to use it. How great things will be when this shit stops being a thing.

why didn't they do anything with laurelin village? it's easily the most soulful village in the game

Ray tracing is a technology mean to make things more realitic, isn't it?
Then it has no place anime/cartoon games.

yes and no, it allows accurate indirect lighting, ambient occlusion, shadow penumbras, reflecions and more, all of which can be used together with different styles

If the game is made with raytracing in mind then its soul is intact
If its tacked on after with no regard then theres no soul to it.
