Yes

It is the best.

Of course. It just set a bad precedent.

No way fag.

NO WAY FAG

Yes

Yes

Yes especially on the game cube

Yep. Good pacing.

Yes

Not a chance homo

In that time

Ada or Claire v/ros?

Resident Evil 4 is small time.

It's one of those games that's actually as good as everyone says it is.

Rebecca

I just plain didn't ever like it. Not sure how anyone else does either. It wasn't fun. It gave me a large sense of annoyance.

Yes
Good game play, nice challenge, good pacing, head pops are super satisfying, moving away from survival horror was a good move by capcom

Best game in the series behind REmake

This.

It was a decent game but the worst in the series. Vastly overrated because it was a Gamecube exclusive

Resident Evil 4 was an amazing game, one of the best ones ever made in my opinion, I think the only reason anyone would ever hate it is if they wanted to more classic resident evil style gameplay or the game just wasn't within a genre of shooter they liked.
It can become a little bit easy once you know what you're doing though, but I think that's part of the charm of the game and why professional mode exists.

it caused the downfall of RE as a survival horror but yeah it was good

Yeah actually it still holds up really well replayed it last year.

Its not Resident Evil.

>is this survival horror game that has little to no survival and bland horror really a good game?
it's a great adventure game but it's not a good Resident Evil game.

>Gamecube exclusive
I thought most people played it on the PS2

I'm sure they did, but it was already being hailed as a classic by the time it even released on other platforms, and it was a good game so it wasn't really worth arguing with that.

Yes. Bonus points for breaking up console standards.

Adulthood is realizing TEW held up better

How could a good game set a bad precedent?

God I need a fucking smoke.

6/10 for me
i don't get all the hype around it

QTEs come to mind

Despite what Zig Forums retards will tell you, there are 2 ways to tell which games are the best ever:
- how many times you replayed them
- how many threads of them there are on the Zig Forums catalog
So for me the games I played the most times are RE4, Skyrim, Bloodborne and WoW, and coincidentally whenever I check the Zig Forums catalog I see at least 1 thread about each one of these, wow and re4 are 15 years old games, skyrim is 9 years old and bloodborne is 5 years old.
Since there is usually also always a thread about fire emblem, mario, dmc, zelda, etc... those are also worthy of the top 10 ever, and I spent many hours on them, but I only talked about the top 4.

Yes, the Resident Evil franchise was in dire need of something new after multiple entries of the same game and 4 had the balls to do so in a way that was very charming and innovative.

Some changes were better than others and sometimes the game gets too actiony for its own good but it's undeniable that there was a lot of love and passion put into the game, so much that Capcom never managed to make another good RE game like it ever again despite having all the assets and engine.
