What are you enjoying on your Switch Zig Forums?

Any recent pickups or downloads?

Been going hard on Hades, honestly.

I should get back into Bug Fables and power through so I can move onto a new JRPG.

>enjoying
Nothing. I should finish Mario Odyssey though. Also have Zelda that I need to start.

>recent pick ups
They had some games on sale for $40 on Gamestop. Picked up New Super Mario Bros Deluxe and Splatoon 2 hoping that'll get me into playing the Switch. Mostly just been playing PS4 lately. Otherwise I'll probably just end up selling my Switch before Black Friday.

Never held a switch. Does it have any buttons besides the 8 I am seeing on the picture?

I have an actual Switch but I mostly use that for Ring Fit Adventure (which I realize I was damn lucky I pre-ordered considering it became unusually difficult to obtain for months after its launch), along with a handful of fucking around on Smash Ultimate , Mario 35 is surprisingly fun, and that Hyrule Necrodancer game. I have a CFW hack that I need to update on my EmuMMC.

Ultimately though, I prefer Yuzu which is getting better and better. Can't wait to see development continue.

im thinking of picking up a switch, but since the games i wanna play wont release for a while (mh, smt) is it worth to get one now? do you guys think the switch pro rumor is true and we'll see it next year?

Been enjoying MHGU after deciding to take a break from world. Excited to hunt many new monsties and figure out online co op

>2 analogs
>ABYX
>4 d-pad buttons
>plus and minus
>L and R
>ZL and ZR

Two triggers per side.

Yes. Note that each of those red and blue things (they come in gray, among other colors) is an independent JoyCon and you can use each one independently if you wish - if using them solo there are 2 little "SR and SL" labeled triggers on the top (aka on the "inside" where they're connected to the controller form") . Also, each JoyCon has traditional standard gamepad bumper (R and L) and Trigger (ZR and ZL) options .

You can also look up the "Nintendo Switch Pro Controller" to see a unified traditional gamepad if you prefer it to the 2 JoyCons together in a binding form pictured by OP.

theres the 4 dpad buttons, the 4 face buttons, +, -, capture, home, Lstick, Rstick, L, R, Zl, Zr

Why are switch games so expensive bros? Everything is like £50 a pop

Rumors of the Switch Pro have been around for ages and it hasn't been true. I'm sure one will eventually show up, but ultimately it may not be until much later next year.

If you want to play Switch titles, I suggest contributing to the Yuzu emulator. It can play most titles now, and a few of them flawlessly/better than on the Switch. Some still have bugs, but overall there's a lot of progress and it can provide a potentially better experience than even a native Switch, similar to how Cemu (WiiU) and Citra (3DS) do better than those platforms by far. Big props to Citra by the way - I'm starting Fire Emblem Awakening and its neat being able to play rendering at near 1440p! Same with Zelda Link Between Worlds etc.

>finished OOT over 4 times and WW, MM, TP a couple of times too as a kid and teen
>decide to get into the franchise again as an adult so I bought a Switch and BOTW recently
>keep dying to almost every enemy
>the constant switching between weapons and sheikah abilities makes me do constant mispresses of buttons
>don't know what to sell and what can be useful later on so my rupees are always low
>no recipe book that saves things so experimenting with cooking is a clusterfuck
>try to explore a bit
>manage to unlock gerudo town and the zora town
>try to capture some towers in the north but they are either guarded by enemies that will 1-shot me or I freeze/burn to death instantly
>go into a forest
>it's pitch black and I spent 2 hours reloading saves trying to explore it with torches, flint and wood
>decide to do the zora domain beast
>get absolutely destroyed by the boss there even after using consumables and getting more hearts
Years of MMORPGs on PC might've rotted my brain over the years but this wannabe Souls combat with QTE cancer such as perfect dodges and shield blocks is shit. Overall doesn't feel like a Zelda game and I don't care about the physics or all the fun creative exploits that you can do.
I hope the next game is more linear and traditional to the 3D Zelda games.

It looks like a dog

Litecuck here, just bought these and I hope my hands stop hurting

I'm not familiar what games cost in tea empire land generally, but overall the Switch titles seemed the same as most other console titles for XBOne / PS4, at least in burgerland.

You get 3 different ones, at least one of them has to be good

Currently nothing but i do have a question
How the fuck did postal redux end up on a fucking nintendo console?

Are you not enjoying Big Fables? Was going to get it on physical later this year

Xenoblade Chronicles and Hotline Miami are my jam at the minute. Astral Chain or Hollow Knight up next

There's literally no games.
I bought mine two weeks ago and returned it.
You can emulate breath of the wild.
I guess if you really love smash and want to pay $500 to play it.

Doing my island up in Animal Crossing. Currently working on a spooky cinema area.

Do I pick up FE3h or Xenoblade DE?

Heads up, Xenoblade DE is $40 on Amazon atm.

>all these people shilling their shitty emulator
Fuck off faggots this is about the actual hardware. Sure you can render games at higher res/framerates but you’re still a filthy piratefag hunched over your desktop. The real beauty of the Switch its hardware design, which can’t be emulated.

If you want one, might as well get one now. A switch Pro, if it ever exists, would come out next Xmas at the earliest, and even that might not happen due to the pandemic. As that other guy said, Switch Pro rumors have been a thing for years and have proven untrue every time. So don’t bet on it.

Didn't they change the ending?

Literally depends where you shop. Only Nintendo sells there games for £50 over here where as you can get them from Currys for 35-40

Just picked up 3 of the $40 switch games just because they looked fun and I hadn't played them.

Got NSMBU Deluxe, Yoshi's Craft World and Mario Tennis Aces. Can't decide which one to play first :/

Xenoblade is a video game. It's not brilliant but it's above average for JRPGs.
Do you have any experience with FE? Personally, I'd avoid the franchise like the plague.

>white girl butt, yoga pants butt, or black girl butt

I played the GBA FE's and thought they were fun.
For real? That's kinda tempting then.

>What are you enjoying on your Switch Zig Forums?
Unironically ACNH.
This game is so comfy to play, after a hard day of work it feels really good to come back to my island and just relax.

DQXI

might start Trials of Mana after

DQ11S
Did some grinding in casino and got this sword. I guess it will be useful in the next few hours.
>any recent pickups
Nah. But Cloudpunk is coming out tomorrow, I will buy that.

Do new game releases become available exactly at midnight on the store or is it later in the day like midday or whatever?

Rune Factory 4, getting ready for 5
Got Stardew Valley recently but havent played it yet

Attached: images.jpg (194x259, 14.02K)

I can't stop playing Hades.

Working my way through Sunshine slowly as well but its a shit game I'm not enjoying.

Use ancient arrows on an ancient bow on the bosses. Invest in hearts over stamina in the beginning. The only qte movement you need to master is perfect guard especially if you want end game loot

>Don't enjoy game
>Play it anyway
For what purpose

Depends on the game. DQ1, 2 and 3, for example, appeared at midnight on "my" store.

Do you have a reasonably powerful PC? It may or may not be fun for you to play BOTW via Cemu (most performant, able to change resolution above 720p / 1080p , lots of options for aftermarket mods and stuff) or Yuzu (Switch native res for the time being, but still performant, no big mods etc).

Anyway, you may not like the gametype but it is meant to be innovative compared to traditional Zelda games. There is a lot to like even as fans of older titles, but there are some adjustments. I'm an oldfag MMO fan too and it takes some adjustment of course.

Basic combat may be "souls-style" but isn't too bad. Note you're supposed to take everything into consideration - weapon type, enemy type, location/physics (ie an enemy camp may have an explosive lamp hanging in it, boxes that may as well be THIS IS GIANT RED EXPLOSIVE BARREL painted on them, or a great big rock you can throw down a hill onto them etc), plus your various Shikah Slate powers etc. There are some more advanced combat tactics but they're mostly there so that you learn and grow over time, like perfect blocks and the like - it feels great to take down an enemy that would have essentially roasted you with a laser instantly in the past. Some things you really need to progress - better weapons, armor, food, abilities/skills, hearts/stamina etc. to make it much easier to take on.

I'd suggest looking at a couple of online resources for stuff like Korok Seeds, cooking abilities (ie once you make something once it saves its outcome, but there are online recipe lists), and equipment. With the exception of super special equipment like the bloody Master Sword, you can opt to sell certain things if you need cash and don't need that weapon, but there are lots of ways to make money in game by taking down enemy camps and the like. Note that the game will "grow" with you and enemies will get harder by both type and coloration, but so will rewards.

make sure you're not missing something. TBC

How is this game? Looks fun but all the anime stuff kind of turns me off from it.

Im a pcfag, but im thinking of getting a switch, what games do you recommend?
Astral chain is confirmed and so is fire emblem

RF4 is great but if you think anime stuff is bad its not for you

Never played it before and there are moments I enjoy to be fair.

It's just clearly an unfinished product loaded with some dumb challenges and shit gimmicks.
